CORALINE!!!
ugh, I watch that movie at least 4 times a year, on top of all of my other Tim Burton stuff! I love that one, it is so eerie and creative, and I love Coraline's personality.

The nightmare before Christmas...man, that is the only 'Christmas' movie I can stand to watch all the way through!

And Emily was so much more understanding of Victor than Victoria. Sure, they had a few tender moments, but it was nothing compared to Emily.

YESHHHH Coraline was the best!! its was the first I had watched of his films. The whole idea of having an alternate family intrigued me sooo much and the eyes, ahhh fantastic! I sound like a lunatic but I don't care

lol I love all kinds of Christmas movies even the corny ones but this one is right up there with Charlie Brown, classic XD

And then that whole musical number when Emily's crying because she's dead and Victor wanted the living girl ugh broke my heart
I felt like Emily so deserved the happy ending. Ohhh and remember Scraps?

I guess that Emily did kind of get a happy ending, by being set free, but she defs deserved to marry Victor, he did bloody propose to her after all, and by the end he was completely okay with going through with the wedding!

Ahah Same here, as a kid I would think of having an alternate family and then I remember when I was 10 or whatever when I first watched it, I was like "Hey they stole my mind!!!"

The dad was so sad, finding out that he was really a good guy was heartbreaking, as well as wybe ((I have no idea how to spell it but whatever)) that was so sad!

You don't sound like a bad person, I agree, she should have had a more satisfying ending, something that wasn't completely random like disappearing into a bunch of butterflies/peices (view spoiler)[Which, now that I think of it, kind of reminds me of Voldemorts death? nah, I'm just crazy :P (hide spoiler)]

One questing is do we absolutely have to follow the appearance given by the character thread? I want to make a shifter, but I have a light skinned charrie in mind, would I be in trouble if I made a fair skinned shifter?
And also, are there any plots that can use another person? I usually make a lot of charries then never get into roleplaying because I can't get into the plot...

I think it would be better to make the charrie a tad tan like not albino but you know somewhere within the tan range I guess, this is a good question actually but I would go with yes because each group is distinguished a certain way I believe
And since the group just recently started we haven't begun a major plot yet but once we do we'll see how your charrie can fit into it ;D

Yeah, the ending was really sweet, it wrapped everything together nicely, and everything was explained in the end.

I liked the old ladies! They were so funny and cute! Those two are the type of old people I want to be!

I like her, and I'll defiantly use her if nothing else comes along, but usually for me I see a charrie and I can instantly see a story and personality with them, I guess it is just the writer in my coming out.

Omg, I have been offline a few days but I just wanted to back up a bit and fangirl over you all talking about the L.J. Smith Night world books. *squeel* Those are so old I didn't think anyone one young would ever stumble onto them they are so good. Smith stopped writing because she had cancer and it was terminal but I think she is ok now but it has been hard for her to return to writing. It is a tragedy she got almost to the end but that last book.. Oi

If you want a more adult series with the vampire/human soulmate themes that is not twilight dribble Maggie Shayne Wings in the night series books are the best. They have the same feel as the night world books but lean toward more adult, Anne Rice-type themes. And like Night World every book is its own story with a couple and usually a secondary character from one becomes the main character in another just like a lot of the NWorld books. Ok, so we have already said that we want to have 2 characters from every kingdom, completed and approved. Sometimes that can take a while. I want to get this started too, but the mods are also going to have to make all the topics for all the kingdoms, and that takes a while as well. I know I'm hoping to set a date soon though.
