Seizure Romero Steve, you created an awe-inspiring monster that for an all-too-brief moment gleamed with sarcastic and snarky brilliance. I hate that within a week the humor and intelligence have apparently been sucked completely from this group by a few pin-headed, ignorant and humorless (or just plain unfunny) trolling douchebags.

All good things must come to an end.

To those who know how to enjoy a good-natured bitch session-- I salute you. May we meet again in a troll-free environment.

To the few, the unhappy few-- you are painful and festering carbuncles on the hindquarters of humanity. You are most likely here screwing up a good time because you are pathetic and petty and no one in the real world wants you around either.

Oh, and I hate Microsoft.

Sarah (songgirl7) Ditto all of that except the "Die." part and the Microsoft part. This isn't fun anymore.

message 3: by Jenn (new)

Jenn Don't lose your spirit people! Some debates can be really enlightening. I feel that the main "problem" right now is just a teenager or someone that is lonely and wants to be a downer. I do miss Amy's smart and funny posts however.

message 4: by Seizure Romero (new)

Seizure Romero OK, Sarah-- I edited the "Die" just for you.

But Microsoft still blows. I live and work here in nerdville and if I hear one more overpaid smirking software developer/engineer defend the company's craptastic non-intuitive upgrades with "It's not a bug, it's a FEATURE," I'm gonna bury my boot in his ass.

Just sayin'.

Reads with Scotch Tell me... what is the deal with vista? If there was ever an operating system that made me want to run to the top floor of a building and jump off it would be vista. I want to peal my skin off every time I have to use it. Maybe jab pencils in my eyes. Perhaps jab a fork into my wrist and twirl my veins out like spaghetti.

message 6: by Joshua (new)

Joshua Im so glad I have a mac.
And have yet to put up with all the shit I hear about vista.

Reads with Scotch Yeah I have an iBook, and G4 at home, but my work desktop and laptop both run on vista. If they don't give me back my old ones I'm going to smash them into a thousand little pieces... maybe I'll do an office space tribute and take it out to a field to beat the hell out of it with bill gate's severed leg.

Reads with Scotch maybe the mayo thread needs to return.

Joshua I have macbook pro running leopard and i love it.
And I'm not sure what the mayo thread is, but i hate mayo, so if thats what it's about... I'm sorry i missed it.

anyway;
I think this group is a great place for us all to come together and vent about what's really irking us. If that isn't what this group is for, correct me now and I'll leave. And being a teenager, I don't know if Jenn's comment was directed towards me, so let me know if my comments are not appreciated and I'll be taking off.

message 10: by Jenn (new)

Jenn No I wasn't directing what I said to you Josh nor to Rain. It was for those that flame the group with stupid posts just to erk people off, when you use a screen name such as some are then I figure you're either a kid or an idiot. Or maybe both.

Reads with Scotch Mac run programs for both, you can get a microsoft office suite for any Mac 10.0 or higher. The funny thing is the MAC's run windows software better the PC's

Sarah (songgirl7) I use Vista and I like it except for the Word program. I can never find any of the commands I want and it takes twice as long to do anything because I spend five minutes looking for it. Also, I hate the way it automatically puts two line breaks in when I hit "enter" and I can't figure out how to turn it off so I'm stuck pressing shift all the time. But I like the way you can keep a running Works Cited page and it automatically sticks the reference in for you and formats it for MLA. That was a big help for me last semester. Going back to school after 8 years away means you don't remember how MLA wants you to do a works cited page.

Meghan Seizure - I'm totally with you on Microsoft. I just bought a new Sony vaio (with Vista) and had to return it because it wouldn't let me connect to the internet wirelessly. The replacement one did not have vista on it, and lo and behold, no issues! Next time I'm getting a mac.

Jillian (mother_of_dinosaurs) I don't miss having Windows. My first computer had Windows ME. That was the biggest POS operating system. My computer constantly froze up and was slow. I then went to XP and dealt with that for a few years. This past summer my computer crashed twice and that was it for me. Went to the Apple store and life has been grand ever since. Life is so much better w/o Windows and Microsoft.
