You see if someone wants to read the same book as you. if they do you set the date you want to read it and once you both start reading you discuss it in the thread you made.(I hope that doesn't sound confusing)

I tried to read The Book Thief once before. I'm hoping having someone reading it at the same time as me will help motivate me to get past the first couple of chapters (which were/are slow).

I'll have to see when I can get it from the library. I just checked the digital library, and it would be quite the wait to get it there. They do have 15 copies, but there are 448 people on the wait list! I'll check for physical copies shortly. (Assuming I can remember my log in info.)

Oh, hot damn! I was able to put a hold on a copy that I should be able to get next week. (There were actually 2 available: one trade paperback and one large print hardcover. I am amazed.)

So how about a week Saturday, March 8th? Or Sunday the 9th?

Will you be able to get the book by Saturday? I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get it by the end of the week. I'll go ahead make the thread; I can always change the date later.

But my van's got to go to the doctor, so I don't know when I'll be able to go out to the library. :( (Then again, I'm sure I can twist [the mechanic's wife] Stacy's arm into taking me there. She reads almost as much as I do.)
