Kenzie listened as the song changed coasting for a moment, then smiling. It was one of her favorite songs. It was from the show Smash, which had been cancelled that year, but the music fro the two seasons before had intrigued her and she had fallen in love with it. The song was called Second Hand White Baby Grand, it was all about how broken things could still be beautiful if they were only given a chance. He movements seemed to elongate, as if she had suddenly grown so tall and yet become so insecure all at once. She felt as though she couldn't fail on the ice right then, as though she was totally on her own an in her own heaven.
((Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_Yrq8...))

Luke watched her, choosing to fix the lights so that the only ones on where lighting up the skating rink. Him holding up his phone with the flash on and moving it back and fourth before whistling as the song ended. He might as well have some fun with this rate? Even if it did kill his battery. He gave her a standing ovation as he clapped and cheered-single handedly by the way. Which looked pretty funny to anyone who was there and watching. He wasn't always given the chance to actually feel free, but what could happen here, the ice was like 3 feet thick right? Or something like that he hoped. Other wise how would the buffer machine even stay there? Or maybe it was just a giant block of ice?

"I'm pretty sure I'm use to cuddling up to my pillow at night, can I use you instead?" He wiggled his eyebrows giving her a light wink before he laughed at his own comment. Seeing as there wasn't a pillow in sight, but he'd manage without it. He was manly enough to do so. Well he figured he was anyways. It'd only be one night, he knew the resort would be one of the first to be cleared out and stuff. So it couldn't be too bad. "It's like camping indoors" He admitted, thinking out loud.

"No, I will not be you pillow, but you can be mine," she offered, throwing a grin over her shoulder, thinking this is the type of banter friends exchanged daily. She was giggling with him, spreading an extra blanket over her bed, then plopping down on it, sitting cross legged. "Do you like movies?" Kenzie asked him curiously, smiling slightly.

"Alright, so I'm you're pillow, I can live with that" he chuckled lightly, sticking a hand in his pocket as he stared at her, fiddling with the keys silently. "And yes I like movies, I'm human, remember?" He chuckled jokingly as he gave her a light grin on his face, laugh lines present though they managed to work well on him. He played it off as if they were the best thing in the world. He liked where he was at the moment, and he kind of didn't want the storm to end f it meant saying goodbye.

Kenzie smiled, patting the bed beside her. "If I kick you or something, it isn't my fault," she told him, making sure he was well aware of that. "I was wondering if we both took a day off and went to the movies, I've never actually been to a movie theater, just on netflix and such. I've wanted to go for awhile, but never could find my way down there." She told him, blushing, cringing slightly at the admittance.

"Well then I'll take you" Luke insisted. "It's not so scary as if it is, you can hold me hand" he chuckled. Alright so maybe he was taking advantage of this situation. Using what he could in this to benefit the fact that She didn't have any other friends. But it was nice, and she deserved someone who wouldn't go around using her without a care. Because he cared for her. "Any idea what movie?"

He nodded his head waving it off easily. "No problem, I can get it if you'd like?" His hands felt a little colder at the moment, kind of empty. Though it's not like that wouldn't exactly look funny. Him just grabbing her hand and holding it tight- even if that's what he had wanted the most at the moment. Her touch. "You don't get out much do you...?" He sighed, shaking his head. "Well....I can fix that-If you'd let me" He smiled lightly to her.

"Sure," she said in a soft voice, thinking she might as well get over, she had been fine before, she would be fine with this. She just missed her family. "I don't get out much, but I'll make you a deal. You give me the next few months to get to and through the Olympics, then I'll cut down on training and we can hang out as much as you like," she offered, thinking she needed to focus on Sochi for now, but once it was over...

"Alright, and I'll be with you every step of the way. did you know that Free Style Skiing is coming into the Olympics for the first time this year" He started with, choosing to give her a little "fun fact". He didn't see what was the harm in that, sides, it'd be useless if he never actually told anyone that. A fact that was simply useless in his head. Well, jeopardy was always an option in the future. He loved the idea of he finally claming down, but he had to endure close to 2 ish 3 more months of that.

"I did actually, though the team ice skating event is the new thing I have my sights set on," she teased him softly, wondering if he was stalling, not wanting to go get the computer, or if he was just preoccupied now that they were talking about the Olympics, because she certainly was. Her coach had been showing her tap and discussing each and every competitor she might have and what their strengths and weaknesses are. It was good to be prepared, but it made her nervous.

"So I'm guessing you want to join?" He asked, well no duh she wanted to. "Never mind, don't answer that" He chuckled, shaking his head as he racked his fingers through his short, yet thick, hair. "Stupid question. You excited about going to Russia though? Plenty of sight seeing can go down" He remarked lightly with a small smile on his face. He would be-Well he'll find a way to go if she did. So in which case, he's excited about it. Though he wasn't so sure how much he wanted to go up and leave for something that seemed to last forever. Part of him wished it was just in Canada like last time-Canadians were nice. Russians...Well, not exactly known for being nice.
