Finished Hard Magic, and decided to listen to The Crown Tower, which is now finished, and now I'm about halfway through The Rose and the Thorn.

Yeah, I'm doing that with Sanderson right now lol. I just finished my The Way of Kings re-read and picked up Warbreaker while I wait for Words of Radiance. After that I'll move straight to Mistborn.
Finally started The Ace of Skulls, the fourth book in the Tales of the Ketty Jay. Only a short way in, but rather enjoying it.

Only 1000?? You're holding out on us, Sensei.
So this seems to have turned into my "month of finishing series".So far we have:
Abaddon's Gate
Flashman on the March
The Thousandfold Thought
and I'm currently working on:
Caine's Law: The Acts of Caine: Book 4
Hurrah!
I'm hoping that March is my finishing off month. Paul and I will be smoted and eye gouged together ;)

I've gotten stuck this month. I can't seem to finish Way of Kings or Clash of Kings. And I've been reading a lot of standalones. Rereads are wearing me out.

I finished two books this February, those are 'And there were none by Agatha Christie' and 'Divergent, by Veronica Roth'..now reading 'The Darkest Minds, by Alexandra Bracken'.
I really liked Darkest Minds!! Hope you enjoy!I just started Small Favor (Dresden #10) and, of course, Way of Kings.

Chris wrote: "...and me with TWOK...though it's more like can't get started good than can't get finished."I find TWOK is hard to put down once I get started. Two late nights in a row...no bueno for work.

I've been reading Warbreaker and I've done that. It's weird, it's not really fast paced, but I seem to lose track of time while reading it more than usual.

I finished Chapter 7 last night. Got caught with two

I'm just waiting for something to happen. Like Chapter 1 - that was awesome. It's been rather slow ever since though.
That's one of the largest issues with it. The plot does move forward, but not quickly. Around the 800-1000 page mark (depending on who you ask) is when it really gets going.
Just in time to end and make you wait 2 years for the next one. Cool.LOL
Though in this case, it's just a week.
Chris, I think you might like chapters 12 & 13. :) I do get what you're saying though. It's more character and world building at this point than action.
From the reviews I've read of the second one, the pacing issues were fixed really well in the second. A lot also becomes clear in it, whereas there is quite a bit of mystery in the first (spren for example, wtf are they and why are they everywhere?)
LOL I just looked at my status updates for TWOK... Here are some of them: 31.0% "The sequence I'm reading right now is rocking my world... I effing love you, Brandon Sanderson."
50.0% "My other life is this book... :)"
52.0% "O_O"
58.0% "Uh oh... I think I see where a part of this is leading. Oh no. =\"
70.0% "Ugh. Not cool. >_<"
75.0% "Oh shizzle... I think some stuff is about to be going down. O_O"
79.0% "That Storming Book chapter? AWESOME. :D"
80.0% "Wandersail: Fantastic chapter. <3"
91.0% "OMG OMG OMG... O_O"
I try to not be spoilery in them, but I like to track where I am, and this book had me seriously making that O_O face so much! LOL
Antonio wrote: "Eye of the World and hopefully finish Memories of Ice"Is that a WoT re-read or is it your first time?

I notice a lack of comments for the "well under 10%" levels I'm at...which is about right. Heh
ETA: No wait, I think I passed 10% last night actually. But still, no comments on there until 30%.

Well.. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy that part, it just didn't start getting really O_O until about 30%
This might be the wrong place for this, but I just found a great audio book deal on reddit. It's The Crown Tower by Michael J. Sullivan for four bucks.http://www.audible.com/pd/Sci-Fi-Fant...
That book is on my TBR, and since it's $4, I can't really pass it up, even if it is audio (might as well try something different).
I really need to start Deadhouse Gates but I can't do another Epic right now if I'm going to read any of The Madness of Hallen. Then I'm going to try to knock out Ready Player One, Lord of the Silver Bow and The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making.
THEN pick up DHG.
Becky wrote: "Yeah, it's their Daily Deal - so if you're interested, better get on it today before 11:59pm ET."I didn't know they did daily deals. I'll have to get my wife on that, she loves audio books. I've convinced her to listen to this one with me so fingers crossed, maybe she'll start to like fantasy!
Becky wrote: "Yeah, it's their Daily Deal - so if you're interested, better get on it today before 11:59pm ET."Do you know if they re-recorded when Sullivan got his new book deal? I listened to it when it first came out and it was really amatuer.
Yep, it's now narrated by someone named Tim Gerard Reynolds. You can listen to a sample via the link Luke posted. It's MUCH better, but not really to my taste.

Yep - every day a different audiobook under $5. I do see that it offers a no-membership buy option if she doesn't have a membership, but I don't know how that works.
Jumping over to the Audiobooks thread since we're derailing the Feb Reading thread. LOL https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
