I'm really excited for this book. If there's anything to rival my love for fairy tales, it'd be greek mythology.
Such a great selection of books for this month...

Oh wow. I was a little conflicted about this question while reading the book. Ultimately, I think that Sophie is her own person. Yes, she had aspects of Persephone and of course, her powers, but Sophie had a personality and morals that were entirely her own. She's very mouthy and headstrong and loyal. Persephone was not. I think that she gains a lot from having parts of Persephone within her but Sophie is much more than Persephone herself could ever be. I think Persephone needed Sophie in order to become a better person, whereas, the only thing Sophie really needs from Persephone are her powers.
The question to think about is:
Sophie's true identity is (view spoiler)[Persephone (hide spoiler)]. Their souls are linked. Without (view spoiler)[Persephone (hide spoiler)] Sophie wouldn't be alive.
But does that make Sophie (view spoiler)[Persephone (hide spoiler)]? Or she Sophie an entirely separate person?
Please feel free to extend the discussion beyond the questions (which are there as a topic-starter!) and simply talk about the book as well :D
