It kiiiiiiiiilled me. It was beautiful, but so sad.

The book was unbelievably sad! Especially since I'm left with a bunch of unanswered questions! I really want to know what happened that night and whether Alaska's death was an accident or not.
I know, right? That drives me nuts still...
And you're so right, it's a lot more moving than TFIOS- which was really sad, but not AS sad as thisa. They should make a movie for Looking For Alaska, it would be so incredible.

That would be cool if they had a movie for Looking for Alaska!
And I can't wait to watch TFIOS in theaters!

and yeah definitely agree that LFA would be a better movie than TFIOS... the film rights were bought by Paramount in 2005 but sadly it got shelved... hope if TFIOS does good in the market they will go on to make John's other books into movies...!

I know, right! That movie would shred my heart, though.
I'm still counting down the days till TFIOS movie comes out... Not my fave book by him, but I can't wait anyway.

I always prefer to read books in their publication order... I know John's books has nothing to do with each other but still....

I think Looking for Alaska is better to read first to see how John grew up as a writer when you read Paper Towns, his first novel wasn't biographical but it got a lot of personal things in it, and is his style but a bit different
I personally read Paper Towns before Looking for Alaska but I wish I had done it the other way

I thought it was way more moving than The Fault In Our Stars
