As I was reading the first volume, I had a feeling that I wouldn't like the series, but I was wrong. I have enjoyed the series so far. Usagi is cheerful and very loyal. She can be lazy, but is willing to work hard for the people she cares about or if someone is in need. Despite being terrible at ninjitsu, she has other skills: she's an accomplished medicine woman. I like her character. I'm trying to think of who my favorite character is, but none of them really strike me especially. I like them fairly equally. I do like Goemon. I like his character design. And I dunno, I guess I think he's funny. Anyone else have a favorite character?
I have read this whole series and it was very enjoyable. It was very cute and a real page turner. I loved Usagi. I thought she was a great character through out the series. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes shojo manga.
I adored the story in Tail of the Moon. This was one of those mangas that kept me interested. I loved the artwork and the characters were enjoyable to read about. Usagi was an joy to read about. Her grandfather was truly amusing to me. He puts me in the mind of one of those matchmakers. Hanzo- well Hanzo was a hottie in my book. I could see why he is well admired and wanted. I love the interaction between Hanzo and Usagi. It was simply B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. I found it hilarious that Usagi just wandered up to Hanzo and pounced that she would bear his child. It was even more hilarious when Hanzo actually said that he would only bear a child with anothr ninja. And boy, Usagi just isn't cut out for the job. LOL Overall an enjoyable read.
Sometimes it seems like Usagi is hopeless. Sure, she's good with healing herbs, but she's the granddaughter of the leader of a prestigious ninja village and she's such a klutz that she's never made it out of the kiddie class. Finally frustrated with Usagi's lack of progress, her grandfather sends her to marry a local lord and have lots of ninja babies. But the lord has no interest in her or her child bearing potential! After years of goofing around, Usagi is finally determined to reach her goals--she's going to become a ninja and capture her true love's heart!
