Diary of a Wimpy Kid book one or Big Nate in a Classby Himself? When did you have a less usual opinion on something?

I am one of the likely minority to say I enjoyed The first book in the Diary of a Wimpy kid more than I did Big Nate in a Class by himself. However, once I finish both series, I might end up ranking the Big Nate series above DoaWK.

While I don't often stop in reading to think "I like this more than A" or "This isn't as good as B," I do get a kick out of comparing series.

I'll be honest, I found very few (if any)flaws in Lincoln Pierce's writing, but I did not really enjoy Big Nate in a Class by Himself book all that much. I really found Diary of a Wimpy Kid to be very amusing and sometimes exiting, and I think Jeff Kinney is very talented at literary entertainment. I do think Big Nate is more appropriate for younger audiences, but Diary of a Wimpy Kid didn't come close to crossing any red lines, at least I don't think so. That being said, I look forward to finishing both series. Which series kick off did you find more enjoyable?

This discussion can also be about a time when your opinion on something (avoid taboo or controversial topics) went against the grain or at least seemed to be less common. For example, "I think country music is more relaxing than reggae." (I think that would be a less usual opinion).
