It shouldn't be, Brenda. I'll go to the Amazon page and see if it the Countdown deal is still marked as 'in progress'. Back in a minute...

Okay, I've just checked, and Amazon says that the deal in both the US and UK is 'in progress' and ends on the 24th... Maybe it isn't showing up in Australia on Amazon US at 99 cents. In the past, I've emailed them about this, and they've sent me back screenshots showing the lower price in the US. It actually had two sales overnight in the US at 99 cents, now that I think of it...

I don't understand it, Brenda. I'll ask some authors in the States to check on their screens...

It'll have something to do with the difference in countries...the US customers probably show the 99c price, but in Aust we are unable to get it for the same price. It happens a lot; much more than anyone realises - and it's frustrating for the authors of the country that CAN'T get it at a reduced price - especially as you are Aussie!!!

So therefore checking with US authors wouldn't work as it's the Aussies who need to check:)

Unfortunately for Aussies, the book is still at its original price. Amazon does not run Countdown deals here - only in the States and UK. Three US authors have confirmed that it's 99 cents in the States...
When books are 'free' on Select, they are free in Australia as well as overseas...
