It's going pretty good. I'm liking it. It's a really easy read and the world isn't as complicated so far as I imagined it to be.

Understanding :) At first i was so confused by the russian words and "this person wears red with blue and this one blue with red" and i couldn't remember what those colours ment but it got better :)
But it's really easy to read.

Yes! When I started it and I saw "kefta" I was a bit confused because I was waiting for it to be explained, but I got it now. And I know what you mean about to color thing. At first I was thinking like "umm should I write down what each group wears or what," but I decided against it and I'm getting the hang of it now.

Plus he said he was over 100 so he could easily be the Evil Heritic. And the volcra explains where all the Farmers vanished off too. And Baghra being his mom explains why he's always so angry or cold at her because she wants to stop him (hide spoiler)]

I really enjoyed it. I know this series gets mixed reviews, but I didn't have a problem with this first book. I'm glad it was a pretty easy read and I really like Leigh Bardugo's writing. And I'm excited to get into the next book. I probably won't start the next book until later this week though since I have others that I have to read.

Things were going a little slow, but now they have picked up speed again. I find it sad that Mal and Aline are suddenly so mad with each other, after they spend months or so missing each other probably.

In my version of the book I'm almost finished and I'm curious about the ending. I don't really see a way where everything could suddenly turn out well. Though I do already know that it's part of a series. Right now I suspect that Mal and Aline will somehow escape the Darkling

I was right! They did escape, but it was much later than I expected them to escape. I also figured that Aline would somehow make the power of the amplifier her own... but in the book she did it (to my liking) a little too easily. She only had to have the realization that she owned the life of the stag and she immediately had her power back.
