Antagonist or protagonist? And you don't remember anything else about the book? Where it was set, what they were doing, why you thought it was fantasy and not a historical?

ETA actually I just checked and probably not, the cover I was thinking of is apparently for the ebook version. Which is weird because I've got the paper version of the book and I don't usually mix up covers for books I actually have. Of course the paper version cover is really ugly so I may have blocked it out.

Aerulan: Thanks, but you're right... that's not it. And I understand about the ugly covers. lol Sometimes I wonder what the artist(s) is/are thinking about!
If the cover is ugly, the artist is usually thinking, "The publisher is a right prat." The artists do the cover to order. (I have a friend who makes a living as a cover artist.)

Julia: Nope, not it either. I wish I could think of more details but it was just too darn long ago!

Kagama, maybe you wanted this cover>

Kari, I maybe have seen the cover, but unfortunately I don't recall the book! I just remember looking at it and thinking it made no sense to show so much skin in the snow. It was a kind of tough-looking lady with curly dark hair in a fur cloak over a typical 80s fantasy fur and chainmail bikini getup.
Maybe have a look at some MZ Bradley Darkover books? A lot of that series has snow.
Did you check this list?

Kari, I maybe have seen the cover, but unfo..."
No I thought about that first but most of her is covered and I found this obscure cover and gave it a go.

Miriam: I know it isn't MZB because she's my favorite author! How did you guess? lol
Juels: I know it's not the Dragonlance series either because I've read most of them.
The woman on the cover has her back to the reader. And she's standing on a cliff overlooking the snowy landscape. I don't remember her hair color or if, indeed, any hair is shown. But she IS scantily clad. Much too scantily for the weather.
Thanks again all of you! I'll keep searching.
Happy Reading!
