I don't think Kristin Stewart did a fantastic job.

Nor Rachelle as Victoria.
The only actors I think did a good job were Alice, Charlie,Emmett,and Esme. The rest of them all had something wrong with them like Melzz said they left out Edwards smugness and also I think he looked half crazed throughout the movie. Bella's voice was too deep and she over acted I think plus she didnt blush enough and was not clumsy enough. Jasper....Just idk his hair was wrong and he looked like he was constantly in pain which I mean he was supposed to but he just looked like he had a really bad weggie the whole movie. Carslie needed a new hair style. Renee was supposed to look alot like Bella but since Kristen played Bella then Renee was wrong. Jacob was too good looking to be Jacob I mean Taylor is way hotter than Rob (even though I like Edward wayy better)Also the Make up was badddd I mean the vamps are supposed to be beautifully pale not ugly pale. Then Roslie....Roslie is supposed to be so amazingly beautiful and Nikki is just...well...not I mean Ashley Greene is way prettier than Nikki plus Roslie is supposed to be really mean and she was mean but not that mean.

Lol, yes. Now that you mentioned it, the kind of pain Jasper had was less of a throat-burning-hunger-pain, but more like a weggie-embedded-underwear-pain.

Actually, Bella is supposed to look alot like Charlie. Nothing like Renee, which she mentions a few times in the book.

yeah but edward is supposed to be way better looking than jacob and in the movie i just dont know i think they are either equal or taylor is better looking I guess it depends Robert is hot for a 20 somthing year old and Taylor is hot for a 17 year old. another thing I dont get Edward is supposed to look 17 and jacob is supposed to look 25 hahaha

I was for the most pleased with the casting...I didn't care for Kristen Stewart. She looked like Bella, but she seemed so apathetic a lot of the time. Nikki Reed didn't look like Rosalie (then again, who does? Rosalie is supposed to be the most stunning thing you'll ever see, so chances are, there'd never be a majority audience pleaser) but she acted like Rosalie very well. She really brought Rosalie's attitude to life.Elizabeth Reaser? Love her! The funny thing is, she's exactly how I pictured Esme in my head! Peter was wonderful as Carlisle as well (seriously, keep Edward, I want his father!) and I always end up holding my breath when he enters the hospital room. *swoon* Plus, the two of them are so cute together! *sigh* If only Peter wasn't with Jennie.....
I don't have complaints about the rest of the cast, because I think they all worked nicely and really brought "life" to the characters.
kristen is a good bella but sometimes she gets on my nerves in the movie. she should be bella but i think she needs to liven up a lil. i think jacob is way hotter that edward. dont get me wrong edward is hot but i think jacob is a 9 and edward is a 8. jasper is a 8 also emmet idk how to spell his name is a 7. i loved esme and alice they were great.... rosalie i liked her in the movie i think she made an ok rosalie not a great one. carsile was great as well.. twilight was a great movie i loved it but there wasnt alot of color. it was just really dark and pale all the time. i hope new moon turns out better.. i loved all the cast of twilight. it was a great movie. i also love all the books of the twilight sega. i just cant wait till breaking dawn comes out. i love that book thats my fav. so plz reply on wat u think of my comment.

Well i think Kristen looks like Bella but her acting was so stupid!!! The hospital scene where she is freaking out when he is saying he might go is the most embarrassing scene ever!!! Ha I laughed forever she studders and its way too much. The movie was a joke to me! Books are so much better.
I think that everyone was very good. I think that Kristen could have acted a little better, and that maybe Nikki could have had a couple of diff hairdos(one made her look like a hog) but I absolutely LOVED Cam, he was awesome. Everyone was good.
Mmmm, Cam was yummy. ¦ ) Sorry about that. All that I have to say is that the books are always better than the movie.
Oh, and I don't like Kristen Stewart in general. I'm not surprised that her acting was bad in twilight. I mean, she didn't even want to be in the movie in the first place.
Yep, like I said. She thought it was "fluff" and "crap". She had to be persuaded to do the film.
i dont know why, but in my head, edward sounded like hayden christensen...looked similar to him, but actually good looking loli think kristin stewart played an OK bella-visually she matched who i pictured could play bella, but she needs to just let go a little bit...watching her is like watching a wanna-be actor take acting 101
whoever the guy was that played jasper should be taken out all together...looking at him just made me laugh....
the makeup was just hoooorible. it looked WAY to caked onto the actors...yes, they're supposed to be pale, but there are better makeup artists out there.....
so yeah, i guess thats my opinion...

NO!!! But I don't blame the actors too much! I think it has to do with the Writers too! I mean you need good writers to make the dilalogue good right? But the thing I think went wrong was the leads. Kristen Stewart is very, very good with pain! I bet New Moon will show a lot of it since it has Bella feeling so much pain but truth to be told I hate her acting. It sounded like she was about to sleep any minute! My dad slept when she was talking! Not kidding.

I thought Jean Van Phue was a bad make up artist, too. Until I read The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion. Van Phue has been in the business for twenty-eight years. And she had to stop working for about two years after she tripped over a cable in Lords of Dogtown and developed a serious knee injury. Twilight was her way to get back in the game. She had to actually beat out tons of other make-up artists for the role.
I also found out that the reason that the make-up turned out badly is that they were in a rainy place, and since the film was so low budget, they couldn't afford proper water protection when they shot outside scenes. So the make up started looking caked on. Waterproof or not, if the weather is like that of Port Washington, the make-up is going to look chalky. If you notice, some of the scenes the make up is good. That happens when they don't have to work in such bad weather, like the kissing scene in the bedroom. That day they were under a cover set. I think the make-up looked great then.
Jean Van Phue tried her hardest, and other artists could have done a lot worse.

What about a photoshopped pic of blake lively making her look vamped saying "Will the real Rosalie please stand up?"
She's the one I thought of reading the book even though I saw the movie first. For some strange reason I also kept picturing Alicia Witt as Bella post transformation. The whole X-men feel of the last half of the book I couldn't picture Kirsten doing.
