Rachel Wheeler NOOT like the word 'new' with the 'te' sound on the end
nnnnneeeeeewwwwwttttttt

Holly Why would you say Newet? :/

Ella It's pronounced Noot... Not Newet. I've never heard of that... :)

The word new with a t on the end.

Pretty straight forward.

Noot? Who the hell says Noot?

You do not say the word 'new' like 'noo'. Newt is the word 'new' with a t on the end, therefore it is pronounced 'Newt'

Noot sounds like boot.

Beaut is a way of putting it. That rhymes with Newt. Boot does not, so don't say it 'Noot'

Rebecca I say it like the lizard newt. You know, "eye of newt" like in witch movies.

Carla I say it like i say the name of this pokemon 'mewtwo', i know it sounds dumb but its probably the way i can find to explain it.

Don´t know... the thing is, I was reading the books in spanish, so I was not sure if to say it like I would say it in English. So I ended up with a weird spanish pronunciation of his name: Newet

I was reading the book in spanish, so I didn´t know weather to pronounce it like I would in English, or the way I would in Spanish.

@ Emma I'm from Australia. Why?

I was pretty sure you weren't from the US. Us 'Mericans don't talk no good English. :) Where I live in the midwest US "new" rhymes with "boo," and newt does, in fact, rhyme with boot. I just think dialects are interesting.

Oh yeah that's right. Americans speak crappy english, no offence. Like you're the only ones who put an o in the word mum, because that's how you say it. Anyway.

Yeah, well at least we can pronounce "r" sounds and don't add them to words that end in "a". Excluding Boston, of course. lol
