SOLVED. man did not know he had a child until his lover told him the child was kidnapped [s]

if im not mistaken the girl here is a restaurant owner and lives on the second floor with her child. one day at the park the child is kidnapped by the nannies boyfriend. Since she does not have any money she ask help from the childs father who is rich. if im not mistaken she even has a picture of him in the child room. the police eventually capture the kidnapper and returns the child. the couple rekindles their romance. i remember her also having a dentist friend. and that at the end of the book here dead father was watching over her.
