Finished the ARC for Uncanny Collateral, Brian McClellan's new urban fantasy series. I really enjoyed it. Fast-paced, entertaining, good characters. I want to say that it was too short but it kept to the point and I appreciated that.

That sounds interesting, was it a good book?

Me too! It was awful, my god, and I had such high hopes.
I've just finished reading vol. 1&2 of Flying Witch, a quirky manga series which the anime of the same name is based on.
Also just finished a re-read of a short little book by Catherine Fisher called The Lammas Field. A great little book I haven't read in about 15 years, but I still remember the storyline clearly as it was a fun fae read.

I just re-read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and am now re-reading Days of Blood and Starlight in preparation to finally read the book in the series, Dreams of Gods and Monsters.
I've decided I need to try and finish off some series, so I'm re-reading the books I've already read (terrible book amnesia), before moving onto the unread ones, and reading a series in one go. Not something I normally do...
Next up will be the Mistborn series, which might take quite a bit longer!

I also enjoyed vol.1 of this series. Has a pleasant, sunny slice-of-life feel to it.
Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. Fun version of some of the classic Norse myths, with a great forward.
Yes Emmeline, that's the way to describe it that I couldn't think of!
I've just finished Tim Peake's 'Ask an Astronaut' which was great, and *shock* *horror* I've actually written a short review for.

So I've started so many series and never finished them, and don't remember what happened in previous books. I'm now trying to get through all of those series by reading them in one go, and re-reading the ones I've already read. Currently working through Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastards!

I love those. Sadly, Bastards has joined the growing list of series with the next book being literally years late.

NO I thought it was finished! Oh well...
Also, gonna try and catch up on stuff this weekend. I know I say that a lot, but I'm not on Goodreads as much as I used to be, and don't blog anymore :(

The first time through, I read it. Now I'm listening to it. It definitely makes for a different (and I think largely superior, in my experience) rereading journey.
Rinn, I'm sure you've read The Expanse, right?

I'm currently reading The Expanse Book 7, too. I'm really loving this one, especially considering that Book 6 was a bit of a snore for me.
It's funny that you say that listening to it is superior to reading it. I listened to Dead Moon by Peter Clines this weekend, and I don't usually listen to audio books, and found myself drifting off a bit. Probably depends a lot on the narrator, too I am sure.
Just finished Pandemic 1918 by Catherine Arnold. A great book, but now I want to thoroughly wash my hands and find something cheerier and a bit less scary!
