LaSorella | 23 comments Hello,

I am looking for a historical romance book I believe Regency.

The hero was in love with a women who died, but it turned that she pretended to have died. (I am thinking she was way under his status, but not 100% sure)

I remember a scene: He was with the heroine and noticed the "dead" first love. He went to her and left the heroine by the carriage and she just left. By this time I know he loved the heroine and after hearing the the "dead"'s explanation when back to the heroine.

I do not remember if they were married already by this time.

Nia--when did you read this book? Where did you find it? How did you find it (recommendation, the back blurb looked interesting, the cover caught your eye...)?

Do you remember why she pretended to die?

If you have more memories but are worried about spoilers--this is the one group in GR where spoilers are actually encouraged. Because sometimes those spoilers are the only things that others remember. However, having said that, if you are worried about the spoilers there is a way to put them in and have them "hidden". Type <*spoilers> the body of the spoiler then <*/spoiler>. Remove the * and (view spoiler)

LaSorella | 23 comments I am still trying to think on more details for this book. I used to have many physical books but now I am starting my digital collection instead, so I gave away some.

For some reason my mind tells me the name of the other woman is "Rachel, or Sarah".

I believe her pretending to die was because of the different class status. He was titled and young.

There is still hope. Your request is only 15 months old.

Does Regency mean this took place in England? Or is Regency a time period which can span several countries?

LaSorella | 23 comments Regency England

:))) Haha it was a happy coincidence. It was quite funny how I came about this post. I just re-read the first book and was planing on re-reading this one and just above it on my library was another book that is the answer to another post here in this group, so I went looking for that post and while looking for it I found yours. Of course at first I didn't rememeber that it was from this book so I just went on searching for the book, while it was just sitting there opened.
I never did find the other post.
Hope you enjoy it! :)
