In bed at night before sleep :)

Keya I love to read in my backyard,at the park,in my bed,at the lubrary(when its semi-empty),and in cars.

Emily | 10 comments In my Bed at any time of the day because its so comfy and warm and i could read there for hours and not even realise how much time had gone by

Overbooked ✎ (kiwi_fruit) | 800 comments I read anywhere, lately I've been carrying my kindle with me so that I can carve some reading time here and there (even at the supermarket checkout LOL) or listen to an audiobook if I need to watch where I'm going.

message 56: by Evangeline (new)

Evangeline My favourite time and place is on the window sill of my school hall way, during lunch time, when every one is outside or NOT in my area. However, I don't LOVE it when my teachers always come up and say: What are you reading now? I'm known for reading in my school.

message 57: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie | 106 comments I like to read in my bed during the night. Occasionally I also like to read in the local Barnes and Noble bookstore or the public library.

message 58: by Pikobooks (new)

Pikobooks Mostly and as everyone, I read at night in my bed...

But my favorite place to read is certainly at the breakfirst table, my book next to my big cup of coffee. Best of all is the sunday breakfirst table !

message 59: by sonya (new)

sonya marie madden | 437 comments Kassandra...i take a book everywhere

message 60: by Laura (new)

Laura Dixon (ang3leyes) | 16 comments I read whenever i'm left alone for more then 5 minutes, between having KOBO on my phone and my ereader always in my purse (Thank god for the digital age cause i was getting back problems from always having a couple books in my bag). So ya all the time, breaks/lunches at work...when my bf is watching lame things on tv. when i have to wait for something anywhere... lol

Candy Tiley | 93 comments Like most of you I take books everywhere on my phone or my Nook. I always spend part of the day reading but one time that I have to read is before I go to sleep. I got into this habit many years ago and now I can't go to sleep without reading!
I am fortunate to be retired and have the house to myself all day so I am indulging myself way too much but I feel that I have waited a long time to get to here so why feel guilty?

Candy Tiley | 93 comments Sandy wrote: "I'm with you, Candy. No guilt here either! :D"

Glad to hear it, Sandy!

message 63: by Aitziber (new)

Aitziber I mostly read during my commute or during downtime at work. I work in IT, so there's a lot of waiting around for someone to have a problem that needs solving.

Which is why I don't always get far with books during my days off. :P

message 65: by Becca (new)

Becca Tyler (scrappybec) | 296 comments Any time, any place.

message 66: by Sharonb (new)

Sharonb anywhere so long as I am left in peace!

message 67: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia (cynthiab) I'll read anywhere at any time, but my favorite place is to curl up on my bed with an afghan and my dogs.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

I have a lot of free time so I read pretty much anytime ,anyplace .
It's nice to sit outside in the shade to read ,but that won't be an option in the next few months, due to weather !

message 69: by Lozzi (new)

Lozzi Counsell (lozzicounsell) | 5 comments I get the train to university and home most days, so I spend a lot of time reading on the train.

message 70: by Raquel (new)

Raquel Romero (raqueljeannie) | 35 comments Favorite place would be my room after I get home from work. Just laying in bed with a book. If it's a super lazy day and I know almost everything is done and clean then I'll read all day. I love those days.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

My favorite time to read is in the afternoon, in my Lazy Boy recliner :) But, with my one daughter doing school at home this year, my reading right now is usually pushed to the evening, right before bed.

message 72: by Happy (new)

Happy (worldhasteeth) In the bath (Kindle inside a waterproof case) always for my own reading. Then at bedtime, me and my husband have a book we're reading aloud together (Bedtime Story Hour <3) which we take turns choosing (also the Kindle - so much easier on arthritic hands and ageing eyes than a paper book!)

This is very accurate, Renee. Perfect! :D

The only thing I noticed: I can't read an English book while sitting in a living room where the TV is on and people speak German. That confuses me. Same goes for German books if someone next to me is watching an English program, but that rarely happens anyway.

message 74: by Sammantha (new)

Sammantha (sammylouise) | 37 comments I like to read in bed, especially during the Winter. In the summer I might sit on the front porch and read or sit out in the yard and read.

message 75: by Writetospeak (new)

Writetospeak I prefer to read in bed because I usually get lost in the book better and also I read anytime

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok honestly I love getting in a hot bubble bath with a book and hot chocolate.

message 77: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Reid (kikilew) | 8 comments I read in bed every night without fail. In the summer I also like to read outside, anywhere in the sun :)

I also occasionally sit on the stairs and read, or on the hill in front of my house.

message 78: by Cindy (new)

Cindy | 384 comments My favorite place to read is on the basement stairs. No distractions. My husband thinks it is the strangest place to read a book.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) Favorite is at night on my couch (which I love), with my feet propped up on my new coffee table (that I love), with the fake fireplace going, rainymood.com on the computer with background noise, hot tea at my side with something cold to drink too, a snuggy blanket and my cat on me.

I also love reading in a hot bath with my favorite bubble bath with my bath pillow.

message 80: by Mirliz (new)

Mirliz | 28 comments Recently I'm reading a lot while commuting. But my favorite time and place to read is:

a) in bed or on the couch in the evening - especially in the fall and winter months, with a blanket and a hot drink. The best spot is actually my parents' super cozy couch in front of the fireplace in the middle of winter!

b) in the backyard or in a park, in the shade of a tree, anytime of the day during the warm summer months.

message 81: by Nikki (new)

Nikki (rosettafaery) | 3 comments Everyone at work thinks I'm odd for not 'escaping' the office on my lunch break by sitting in the canteen to eat my sandwich and read. But to me, I am escaping! I go off into this other reality and let the author take me on a magical tour of the imagination. Perfect!

We have a break room too but I'd never stay here to read in it. It's uncomfortable and ugly. I go to the nearby Mcdonalds and sit on their outside patio with a cheap drink that I refill before returning to work. It works out great...usually. There are some strange people over there though, not a good area.

message 83: by Marina (new)

Marina (sonnenbarke) I like reading anywhere, anytime. But I especially like reading on my armchair or in bed when I'm at home. The best would be a sofa, but I don't have it in my current flat (will have it in my new flat come September, though). I have no preference for time of day, but I won't usually read in the morning.

message 84: by Deborah (new)

Deborah Pickstone | 563 comments Anywhere. I walk down the road, reading. I cross the street, reading.

message 85: by beth (new)

beth (beth01) In bed, at night, without a doubt

message 86: by Tammie (new)

Tammie Tackett in my room or outside

message 87: by Agnik (new)

Agnik | 52 comments I most often read on my bed; it can be made to something like a couch (although it is a real bed) if you put the duvet in a drawer in the bed, put a blanket on the mattress and get cushions. It's really comfy!!
In the summer holidays I go to Poland to my grandparents house and there I read on a deck char in the shade ;)

I read outside in summer fall and spring weather permitting or in bed or on my couch. I usually have one or two dogs helping me as well! I like the couch or outside more, as I have more space to have a drink with me, or a snack and my back likes that better! I have a reading chair on my bed, but my light does not allow me to read leaning in it.

message 89: by Krysta (new)

Krysta MacDonald (krystamacdonald) | 9 comments on my couch with my dogs all day long. In the warmer months on our sectional on our deck.

I like to read outside, in a comfortable chair, in the shade, whenever the weather lets me. If I am lucky it is four to five months of the year.
I read lots of places, but that is my favourite.

message 91: by Lynnette (new)

Lynnette | 166 comments I always have a book open on my kitchen breakfast bar so anytime I am Cooking, etc I read. When I am done in the kitchen I go around to other side & sit on a barstool & read. In the summer, in the deck is a good place.

message 92: by Susy (new)

Susy (susysstories) | 468 comments In bed, on my couch or outside if the weather is good (at this moment it's way too cold).

message 93: by Jackie (new)

Jackie Usually on the couch, a chair, or on the bed. Now that the temperature is not 90 degrees anymore, I may start to read outside on the patio.

message 94: by Glennis (new)

Glennis | 172 comments I used to have Sunday Night Spa nights....me and whatever book had me at the moment, in a toasty bath laced with exotic aromas... Lately, it's been bed reading...at least a bit before sleep. It usually helps relax me....

message 95: by Candy (new)

Candy Tiley | 93 comments Now that I am older and can afford it I finally have a house that has a special room that is mine! I have a comfortable chair and a nice view and I spend many hours up there where I can focus on whatever book I am reading with no distractions.
