Hi Lisa - I haven't read the others, but I did enjoy Cellist of Sarajevo. You should listen to the piece of music discussed in the book, I think it adds to the experience.

I'm in the best and worst of all possible worlds right now, too many books that I want to read next. I keep revising my list of the next five. I am glad to see that I went on to The 13th Hour: A Thriller, which is actually next on my list. The rest is being revised once again. Probably, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall will be next, as I'm reading it as a group selection. Then, I will go to a nice cozy mystery in connection with Valentine's, Death of a Valentine. Connie Willis comes out with one I can't wait to read in February, Blackout, and Elizabeth Kostova's new one (that I had been so excited about and still am), The Swan Thieves is guilting me out that I haven't started it yet. And of course, I couldn't wait until next summer for The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest and ordered it from Book Deposit so that I could read it now. The list continues, and I find myself in that wonderful/horrible place of having too many books I want to read Right Now.

The Good Children- This one is from the library & I'm basically leafing through it. I'm curious about the ending, but I've realized this particular book of Wilhelm's is more for teens...I'm a lot older than that..LOL. I also have Not My Daughter(library)..and will leaf thru this one right after. I know I need to read The Help, but I figure I have time..the whole month of Feb., right? And Lolita is also gonna be one I read soon.

My Next Books:

1. The Sirens of Titan because I love Vonnegut! This is my last book by him and it's going to be a sad day when I finish this one. Seriously, I might cry.
2. The Lost Civilization of Aries because I want to start supporting some indie authors. I also got this book in paperback signed from Vince which you can get through his website (which I also designed for him).
3. Practical Demon Keeping because I'm finishing up Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal and I'm really liking Christopher Moore.

I'm so not sure what I want to read next! In fact, I'm already thinking about this year's Summer Reading List because I need to figure out how to get through the rest of the winter and with what books to do so. (I bet most of you are devising Summer Reading lists already too, right?) :-)

Right now I'm STILL finishing Wilkie Collins' "The Woman in White." I'm enjoying it but have not put as much time into reading the last few months as I normally do, so it's taking FOREVER to read. Almost there, though...

Possibilities for next are:
1) The Book Thief (based on comments above)
2) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
3) The Help (for TNBBC Feb selection)
4) The Last Lecture (for a complete change of pace and to remember what's important)
5)Outlander #1
6) The White Queen (kind of in the mood for some Phillipa-style intrigue and back-stabbing)
7) The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society ('cause I just have to cross this one off the list already)
