Once Upon A Time and Lara

James' mom backed up again, her eyes wide. "I can't believe... I would never... I am not going to kill my own son!"
James lay a hand on Calla's arm. "Calm down Calla, maybe she's telling the truth..."

"There is one way to tell." She out her under a truth spell. "What is your sons name."

"I don't have a son." She said mechanically. Then her image glitched, much like Sam's had. Her eyes turned black and she sprouted a pair of black wings. She had turned into something completely different, and much more frightening. She flapped out of the house and into the air, disappearing in a flash.
James was stunned. He just stood there, staring.

Calla used her mind powers to drag him her back down to them. She tied her up with a magical rope."Do you think you can leave me without me telling you to? She paused"then who is James real parents?"

James' "mom" thrashed against the ropes, beating her wings powerfully. She wasn't listening to Calla, she was just focused on escaping.
James still stared, completely shocked and confused.

"Fine playing it hard." She started burning her. "Who are James parent?" She asked again.

Calla finally had her attention, but James mom didn't seem fazed by the fire at all. "You can't burn a demon honey. We live in the fires of hell. But nice try." She said, glaring at Calla. "As for James parents, he doesn't have any darling."
James took a step back. "W-what?"

She smirked a little. "A demon oh well fighting demons is a lot of fun." She started to freeze her. "Why were you going to kill James?"

The demon's reaction to ice is the same as a human's is to fire. However, the demon was tough enough to hide her emotions and not show her pain. "Because he has forgotten."

"Forgotten what?" She started the freezing process up more. She was mad. Her body temperature started to freeze.

The demon started to struggle, but not enough to get away. This was all part of the plan. The demon was strong enough to get away if it wanted to, but that was not one of its orders. "Who he really is." She spat.
James' eyes widened even more. He felt like he had been lied to his whole life, "So who am I? Really?"

"Who is he? Tell me now. What is he?" She glared. The whole house went down to below zero.

The demon just smiled. She moved her gaze to James and locked her black eyes on him. James couldn't look away. He was frozen, looking at her. Then he felt a fierce pain rip down his spine, but he couldn't move or show his pain. He was frozen. His eyes slowly closed and his head slumped forwards. The demon lifted him into the air slowly. His hair started to change, the dark brown dissolving to reveal its true jet black color. His back shifted and rippled slightly, as two large black, feathery wings poked out, seemingly growing from his back. They were wet and crumpled from being hidden for so long. The demon grinned and dumped James onto the floor in a disheveled heap.

She knew the answer right away. "What is he?" She asked. She was worried. She didn't let her guard down though. "What is he?" She screamed at the creature.

The demon smiled wickedly, its eyes flashing with fire. "A demon honey. He always has been." Then the demon disappeared from the room, leaving earth to go to hell where Calla would not be able to bring it back from. It's job was done.
James was still on the ground, unconscious. He looked dramatically different now. Darker, and more mysterious. He would have been frightening if he had not been slumped on the floor. He shifted a little, slowly starting to wake up.

Calla ran to his side. "James baby are you alright?" She hoped he hadn't change. She prayed. This was just a nightmare. "Baby please be ok." She looked at him. He was still cute in her eyes. Super cute. She smiled and blushed a little. She didn't care what he was. He was James to her.

James moaned softly and opened his eyes. He squinted, and then sat up. Emotions flit behind his eyes too fast for anyone to follow. His wings drooped when he sat up, as they were still too wet to move. He looked over at Calla with a sad expression. He remembered everything now, the whole eternity of his life, and not just the 20 years he had thought he had lived for. "I'm sorry you had to get into this Calla. I really am." His voice was richer, darker like the rest of him. "I am not the person you think I am."

"Listen James I don't care what you did. I know who you are and that person is in you. All it matters is we are together. If the council doesn't like they can forget it. As far as it goes your the king and I'm the queen. That's not going to change. I love you and you love me." She said looking at him.

James sighed, running a hand through his hair. He thought differently now that he had his memories back. His personality had changed as well. Not completely, but enough that he was not the same person he was. "Like I said, I'm really sorry you had to get into this. It wasn't my idea." He remembered the feelings he had had for her, and so he was sad that it had to change, but he wasn't the same person. "I really am different. As good as being a completely different person." He tried to explain. He sighed, "I think it is better if we start like this." He stuck his hand out to her. "Hi, I'm James Talon. Nice to meet you."

"So my last name would be Talon because legally we are married. Unless if you want to get a divorce which I would understand." She said shaking his hand smiling. She started to let the place cool down. She couldn't help but feel Josh knew. Which made her mad. She will talk to him later. She had no clue what to do from here.

He smiled. "Yes, your name would be Talon." He said, smiling. "I don't think we should divorce, for if I truly am king, that would complicate things." He said slowly, thinking. He got up of the ground, his wet wings still drooping. He wasn't sure if he wanted to be in a "marriage" marriage with her yet, but he wasn't against it either. "Please just take things slow with me. I need to think over everything that has just happened." He said honestly.

"Yeah no problem. I'm going to be right back. I have to go ask my dearest brother a few questions." She teleported to Josh. "Josh did you know? Did you know what James was?" She asked. Trying hard to hold back the tears.

Josh was surprised when she appeared, but he quickly realized why she had come. He sighed, looking down. "Yeah. But I thought it was best not to tell you, since he didn't even know."
James nodded, knowing she was upset. He didn't blame her. It wasn't everyday someone you loved became a completely different person. He felt badly about it, but there wasn't much he could do about it either. His wings slowly started to dry off, and he flapped them experimentally.

"Your very glad that your dead. Because I lost the one person left back at home that was my family. I lost the person who I loved. The only reason he isn't getting a divorce is because he is King and that would complicate things. I'm not going to get upset because this is just probably one of those awful nightmares that seem so real." She was mad. "Im going back to down there. I would of like to known this." She teleported back down there. "Hello." She said keeping it cool. "Question is that why my aunt called you the dark one?"

Josh sighed, "Really sorry lil sis." He muttered as she left.
James looked up, smiling a little as she returned. His wings were dry now, and tucked neatly at his back. "Hi." He said smoothly, before nodding. "Yes."

She wasn't going to comment on his last answer. "Oh ok." She said smiling. She didn't know what to do. "Here's a charm just in case you can't get into the castle. Do you want to like meet me there or teleported with me." She asked.

He took the charm from her, threading it onto a string and tying it around his neck before shrugging. "I'm really ok with either. Unless you want me to fly you there." He offered, smiling kindly.

Calla rolled her eyes. "If he could wait I would say the flying part but Sam is mine friend and something is up. So let's teleport." She said taking his hand. Letting go as soon as she got there. "Danny what's wrong ask questions later."
"Ok well she doesn't sound herself."
"Sam why does he call you Princess?"

Sam smiled, "Same as Ember. She had a part to play in this as well. Have you forgotten?"
James scowled, "No. But I'm here now. You should know better than to cross paths with me, carrying such intentions."
Sam shrugged, "Cool it Talon. I'm not going to hurt your friends. I'm just here as back up while the other one is... fixed."

"Me I'm fine. This day couldn't get any better. We all are alive. The sun is shining. And my husband turns out to be Demon. My best friend turns out to be possessed. My brother knew about my husband being a demon. Boy is he glad he's dead. No I'm better than fine I'm terrific." She said in every word was filled with sarcasm. She was hurt. Really bad all the memories she had with him were gone. "Danny you guys can handle this here. I'm going to be in the training room. Let's say doing some stimulations always help a person work out the stress of there daily lives." She smiled and walked away into the room. She put it on hard. She started summoned her sword to her hand. It was flickering back and forth from water and flames. She sliced the monster in half. She did it again and again. Each time a tear came down her face. All the memories were nothing. No more James. The one who she loved. The only person left who cared. The only family member she has is gone. She fell to her knees crying. The stimulation quit. She sat there crying over him. She was nothing without him.
"So hate to break up the reunion here but Calla needs someone to comfort her so better be one of you because you know she doesn't like me at all. Last time something happen she almost torched me."

"Didn't take your change too well, did she?" Sam asked.
James glared at her, pressing the knife a little harder, "Shut up before I slit your throat. And hurry up and reveal yourself. These poor people think you're in Sam's body."
She laughed, her surface rippling until she looked like a blonde haired blue eyed demon. She had wings, just like James did.
"Danny, meet Ash. I don't know how long she has been here instead of Sam, but she is definitely not Sam." James said, before turning his attention back to her. "You are going to stay here, while I go check on Calla, understand? Or so help me I will rip your wings out."
Ash grinned, "Someone's a little feisty."
"I've had a long day. Now stay put, or else." He said firmly. "You know I can come after you if you do anything stupid."
Ash shrugged, "Sure, whatever." She knew it though, and had no intention on getting on James' bad side. He had a reputation as a demon. And it was that way for a reason.
He nodded and let her go, walking quickly through the halls to find Calla. When he found her, he leaned against the door-frame, watching her for a couple seconds. Finally he looked up, his face displaying worry. "Are you all right?" He asked gently.

"You are harboring the dark one. He's going to take over. Hand him over to us."
"Well let me tell you this if he is going take over be my guest because quite frankly I don't care anymore. Have any of you lost someone. No. Let's say you lost your brother on your wedding day. Or how about this you don't remember your wedding day. Then one day you have a nightmare of your husband dying. Then you go to kill the person to that was going to kill him. He turns out to be demon. Which I don't care really. But for him to change completely and the only reason he wants to stay basically because it's complicated because he still king. Your lasts words to the person you fall in love with were I love you in a conversation that didn't have to deal with saving the world. If this guy here takes over the world with my aunt go ahead because I'm tired of doing it. I'm tired of letting things go. To make things worse you know you alone in this world. So if you have a problem please take it up with someone who cares."
"So Ash where's Sam at?"

The second the council appeared though, he flew over to her, grabbing her up in his arms and quickly flew out through the door. "I'm sorry for doing this." He whispered in her ear. "But you weren't safe there." He told her, his wings flapping furiously around them as he picked up speed. "I'll explain later."
Ash tipped her head slightly, "How should I know? I wasn't one of the demons who took her. I'm just here as her replacement." She said honestly, before adding smugly, "Though I do know that she's probably in hell." She said, meaning both literally and figuratively speaking.

"Well thanks for being nice enough about"

Ash shrugged, "Any time handsome. Is your buddy going to hurry up and get back? I want to leave now..."

"I don't know."

Ash groaned. "Not that I'm complaining about you darling. Wouldn't mind seeing you around more often, but I really need to get back to hell. You know, I do have a life to attend to." She said smiling a little.

"See that you found out."
"I don't need you here too."
"Well we are going to take over the world. It was our agreement. To bad he fell in love with you instead of killing you. Simple task. I'm surprise your alive your heart is shattered by dear. When were you going to tell him? It's not like he can save you. The funny part of this you actually believe he can love you."
"Well I have a wife and life too but you don't seem me complaining."

James was going to look up and glare at Calla's aunt, but he thought better of it, because everything she had said had been true. He had been a self centered demon, and now he was a demon again, and that nature was trying to push back on him again. He wanted to help Calla, to comfort her, because she didn't deserve this, but he was also very confused by his feelings. Half of him wanted to love her, half of him wanted him to only love himself.
Ash pouted, "Too bad about the wife. As for not complaining, don't rub it in. You're not the one who has the most viscous demon in hell threatening to rip off your limbs if you move a muscle. "

"Now I must be going. Oh Calla tell your mom and dad I said hi. You don't have much time left. 5.4.3.2.1" her aunt disappeared. She fell onto the ground begging for air. She was dying this time. Her heart was shattered. James was gone. Her life was gone. She had nothing.
"If anything is harmed on her hair so help me. I will send my dragon after you."

James looked over at Calla for the first time in the last while. He was worried. He didn't want her to die because of him. The least he could do for her was try to save her life. He moved over to her, spreading his wings above her protectively as he knelt over her. He placed a hand over her heart and closed his eyes, tapping into his powerful demon-magic to heal her heart.
Ash faked a shiver, "Ooooh, I'm so scared. Rogue demon, or baby dragon? I'll take my chances with the dragon thank you very much." She said, rolling her eyes. "Besides, like I said before, what happens to her is not up to me. I'm not that high ranking of a demon. I'm just one of the decoys."

She laid there alive. Holding on. She started to mutter something. "James don't go please baby don't go." She said. She didn't realize what she was saying. "Please don't go." Her body went was alive and well. But she was in shock.
"Well if James knows who have her Ill make sure he gets what he's asking for,"

Ash raised a brow, "You, against... him? Keep dreaming star-boy. Though I admire your guts."

"Yeah me against him." He said.

Ash rolled her eyes, "You would be shredded in under a minute."

"Well at least I will die knowing I protected Sam."

Ash shrugged, "You know he remains your only way to even get past the gates of hell to save her? You die and you can't save her, he dies and you have no way of getting into hell." She said. She looked up, noticing that James had come back. "Thank goodness. Can I go now?"
James shook his head, walking over to the bedroom and laying Calla down gently before joining them in the hall again. "You need to tell me what they did with Sam."
"I went through this already, I don't kno-"
James grabbed her throat, holding her still as he stared into her eyes. Both of their eyes went completely black for a second, neither of them moving before James backed up again, letting go of her. "You can go." He said with a frown.
Ash smiled, "Finally." She disappeared.
James turned to Danny. "I know where Sam is."

"Ok but is she ok?" Asked pointing to Calla.

"Yes I would because I saw it and he saw it too. So we could have a confession with me or the council. I would prefer if you do it with me because I will be less how do I say cruel." She said. Her body was burning up.
