My book is being picked up by a publisher and they want to reuse the book cover once they publish it under a different name.

I changed the Illustrator to a different Jan Moran, so it should disappear from your author page.

Jane, we do not remove records of published books even if they are out of print. If you will be publishing under the name Jane Doe now I can add that name to the book as a secondary author. Do you want to claim a new author profile for Jane Doe?

Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers on the site, as users want to shelve the cover of the copy they have. Instead, we add an alternate-cover edition. See http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... and http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/85....

As the author, you will have the ability to change which edition of the book is the default, which will come up in searches by title and show on your author profile. Here's how: http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/31...
