Robert Kelly (robertmkelly) | 48 comments Amazon is now publishing reader reviews found on Amazon.com on many of their other sites worldwide. The new feature includes: UK, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, and India.

The feature is listed as "beta" on the UK site.

Editorial reviews and author bios, however, are not cross-posted to the foreign websites.

Kevis Hendrickson (kevishendrickson) | 69 comments This is really old news. They've been cross posting reviews from .com for about 2 years now.

Robert Kelly (robertmkelly) | 48 comments Oh. It must be just me. Now that you said that it makes some sense because all my reviews are new.

Kevis Hendrickson (kevishendrickson) | 69 comments I'm sure there are people out there who didn't know about the cross reviews thing, so your post will still help. I just thought you might like to know that the feature has been around for a while.

Robert Kelly (robertmkelly) | 48 comments Got it. Thanks Kevis.

I have been focussed on this and had been adding some author info on these foreign sites, so I was shocked to see these reviews come popping up out of nowhere (seemingly). Glad to know it's been going on. You have to hand it to Amazon, they really do push the envelope, and this matters if you want to sell overseas, as I do.

Norm Hamilton (normhamilton) | 153 comments My books at Amazon.ca don't show the reviews from Amazon.com so I don't think it is an automated, system wide integration yet.

Janet Doolaege | 56 comments Like Norm, I find that none of my reviews seems to have crossed over yet from one site to another. Is there some official information about this somewhere?

message 8: by Robert (new)

Robert Kelly (robertmkelly) | 48 comments Janet, you have 15 UK reviews for "A Paris Haunting"…but you also have a link at the very bottom to your 6 amazon.com reviews.

Perhaps Amazon has an algorithm that puts a link there, or alternatively the actual reviews, depending on the overall number of reviews.

The link is there, but it'd be more useful if the reviews simply showed up the same on all Amazon platforms. At any rate, it is not too bad though.

Philip (phenweb) | 258 comments It's the other way round I want - reviews and ratings or a link from other sites , in my case .co.uk showing up on Amazon.com.
