Yes what you said is correct and to me there is no reason to hate them, Jonas just don't know whats right and what is wrong and Lucia has problems with her overpowering magic.

As for Jonas, he's lost his brother and his whole world is turned upside down. He's trying to make to make the right desicions, even though most of the time he is letting his emotions make his choices. And you can tell that he is learning from his mistakes.
To be honest, these two weren't my favourite characters when the series started but they are slowly growing on me. But I don't hate them. My favs in the first book were Cleo, Nic and Theon. Now after reading the second book my fav male character is Jonas, since Theon -you know. Cleo will always be my fav female character. I don't really like Magnus at all.
Just a random thought: ever since reading the first book, I've been fantasising that Theon would somehow comes back to life. I know its a heck of a long short and I seriously doubt it would ever happen. But it would seriously spice things up a bit, especially with this love square going on (with Cleo, Nic, Jonas and magnus). If Theon came back it would be like a love hectagon.
Anyway, I really didn't mean to ramble on like this. Oops
Who said they hated Jonas!!!!
I like Lucia's character in the first book, but she turning to the dark side of her powers (which I get that she can't control it, but why would she use that much power) so I started not liking her after this book, but I don't hate her.

Lucia is weird, quite creepy. She is most likely going to turn evil.

I am neutral on Jonas and Lucia. Although I am hoping that Magnus falling head over heels in love with Cleo will make her jealous.

I agree with everything you have said. I mean with Cleo and Jonas. While I don't really love these characters I don't exactly hate them. What is with all the animosity from people? Confounding, really.
