People hated Lucia and Jonas. It makes no sense to me, why hate them?

Lovetoread47 I agree that they are not bad. Jonas just needs to keep his emotions in check. His rebellion attempts were not successful and lives were lost and people imprisoned. Lucia just needs guidance. She is not evil. She has powers that she needs help in wielding. They are both great characters and I like both of them.

Yes what you said is correct and to me there is no reason to hate them, Jonas just don't know whats right and what is wrong and Lucia has problems with her overpowering magic.

bipasha Jonas is rash and reckless. Lucia is young and stupid. Other than that, they're fine. And well, lucia is is admittedly , a little creepy. Yeah.

Courtney Lee I actually really like what's being done to Lucia's character. In the first book I wasn't really a fan of hers because she just seems to naive and there wasn't much depth in her character. But in the second book you see another side of her. You can see how her magic is affecting her and how she struggles to control it.

As for Jonas, he's lost his brother and his whole world is turned upside down. He's trying to make to make the right desicions, even though most of the time he is letting his emotions make his choices. And you can tell that he is learning from his mistakes.

To be honest, these two weren't my favourite characters when the series started but they are slowly growing on me. But I don't hate them. My favs in the first book were Cleo, Nic and Theon. Now after reading the second book my fav male character is Jonas, since Theon -you know. Cleo will always be my fav female character. I don't really like Magnus at all.

Just a random thought: ever since reading the first book, I've been fantasising that Theon would somehow comes back to life. I know its a heck of a long short and I seriously doubt it would ever happen. But it would seriously spice things up a bit, especially with this love square going on (with Cleo, Nic, Jonas and magnus). If Theon came back it would be like a love hectagon.

Anyway, I really didn't mean to ramble on like this. Oops

Who said they hated Jonas!!!!

I like Lucia's character in the first book, but she turning to the dark side of her powers (which I get that she can't control it, but why would she use that much power) so I started not liking her after this book, but I don't hate her.

Claire I hate Magnus. He is a freaking jerk. Sure he may have a super secret sideof him that cares. But I still HATE him. Though Jonas and Lucia are nice. Cleo is annoying

Kinga I don't see why someone should/could hate them. Jonas has his reasons for being as he is and he definitely grew up since the murder of his brother.
Lucia is weird, quite creepy. She is most likely going to turn evil.

Emily I love Magnus... or at least I think I will. I am hoping for some bad boy redemption! He is such a sad character and he has a lot to work through and I think Cleo will be just the person to help him.

I am neutral on Jonas and Lucia. Although I am hoping that Magnus falling head over heels in love with Cleo will make her jealous.

I agree with everything you have said. I mean with Cleo and Jonas. While I don't really love these characters I don't exactly hate them. What is with all the animosity from people? Confounding, really.
