I thought it was going to be straight up fantasy romance, but it was so much more than that. I can't wait for the 3rd one to come out in April!

Friends have been suggesting it for forever, but I always avoided it because I really didn't like the movie. A lot of people told me that it was better than The Da Vinci Code, which I read back when everyone was going crazy over it and I enjoyed, and in some ways it is. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I actually enjoyed reading this. I probably would have liked it better if I hadn't had the twist at the end ruined for me by the movie, but all in all, I'm glad that I finally got around to reading it. I like Dan Brown's writing style. I especially love the combination of history and mystery.

I've seen a lot of 5 star ratings from friends, but I couldn't bring myself to rate it that high. I would give it a 3.5/4. The main reason for this is that while I enjoyed reading it, I didn't actually care for the characters or the actual plot. However, I found the society to be fascinating.

Kenzie, I felt the same way! The story aspect could have been better, but it was interesting learning about this society.
Have you read
? Since you liked The Hunger Games, you might like this one too.
