Sum | 846 comments Your story idea is not bad, I like the beginning.

Are you worried about writing it or not because it seems like such a big project? I don't know a lot about the publishing process but I know it's really long and rigorous.

So rather than writing a story to get it published, maybe you should write for the sake of the story. You know? So when the ideas lag, instead of telling yourself "No one will publish this" you'll think "Now I won't know what happens next". It's great to set publishment (not a real word) as a goal, but you should make the first priority your story. Because if this is a story that you think needs to be told then go for it.

((Okay that was long. In conclusion, I like the idea.))

Katelyn | 2 comments I'm doing the same thing! I wrote a story line for a book and began writing it, I've spoke to publishing consultants but I'm not sure if I want to do it. It costs a good amount of money and it seems like a huge project

Getting published should not cost money unless you are self publishing.

And writing a story is definitely free, and all you should worry about it getting the first draft down (and the second and the third) before even worrying about publishing, in my opinion. I wouldn't worry about it at all right now, just write the story you want to write and have fun with it!

Katelyn | 2 comments Sorry if I had scared you. Personally I want to self publish so it will cost money, that's what I'm trying to figure out right now. I love your book idea and I think it's great that you want to publish. Keep going. If you love to write then do it. That's half the challenge is starting the book
