I think you should try the Nightshade trilogy by Andrea Cremer. That series is one of my favorite series' ever so you should like it. Plus I read The Mortal Instruments and they were amazing!!

Maximum Ride is extremely funny and a bit romantic. Since you like City of Bones, I have a good feeling you'll like Maximum Ride, as it has some of the same themes in it.
