One word to describe my day? I think mine would bring down the bright sparkles already mentioned. I sorry all over the place.
Dreary.

Or you could name a word for what you wish for for the day, or something that makes you happy right now? I believe we can make up the rules as we go, right, Johanna? :) or better still, no rules at all.

Oh yes, we can make the rules as we go or forget about them altogether. :-) It's our diary — we can do whatever we like with it. ;-)
And if it feels more comfortable to use a whole sentence rather than only one word, that's okay, too, right? :-)

I find the idea of picking just one word a day to describe your day fascinating and inspiring. And I wondered if you guys would enjoy writing this kind of journal with me — to make it our own, collective diary. :-)
