The Best Thing About Today...

:-)

That doesn't sound so good..
ETA: I guess it relates to the election, I can understand the resignation. As a foreigner, I am also baffled. I really don't understand what's ..."
Such grim news. I've given up on trying to understand American politics, and especially American voters. Bafflement is all par for the course, Anne! Democrats actually made some gains in Utah, which is a nice change in my old homeland. I remember crying on the night of the 2000 elections, and the country appears to have survived that period intact. Hang in there, America. Let's look to the future.

Ugh"
Exactly. I'm not so fond of snow because it makes difficult to ride my bike.

Please, a picture? *puppy eyes*"
Sorry, on the ground it's almost completely gone. Only the roofs are still a bit ''dusted''.

Argh! Well, I'll see some one day, or I'll google it. :)

You've never seen snow?

Rarely. I believe I can count on one hand the days of snow in the year. Perhaps two. Often it doesn't stay. It becomes water once it touches the ground.

I wanna move there, where is there? I hate, hate, HATE snow

:D Poitou-Charentes region.

Only one problem
Je ne parle pas français
Um, was that right? I've only studied it for 18 months in total, and the full year was 20 years ago :p

Feel free to visit us here in Finland any time in mid-winter... :-)

Heh. :-) We got to make real cool jewelry (bracelets and such) out of inner tubes of bicycles today when I took my students to the art museum and the workshop there. Even I had time to make one for myself — and that rarely happens during art lessons. ;-)

Not the best possible photos, but here's my brand new bracelet made out of bike's inner tube. I kept mine fairly simple, but some of the students made much more complicated and more beautiful ones.

Wow, very nice, Johanna!

If it possible I leave work early. I can't say what sucks more the pain behind my left eye or the nausea..
In an earlier life, I can't be a nice person, that's for sure!

I'm sorry for all the sufferers here.
By the way I also get a migraine of the left side of my head and I always wonder what does this mean. Luckily it is just not so often as it used to be.

I hope you were able to leave work early and feel better soon. I can't imagine you ever being a not nice person. Hopefully, all the glitter and confetti will make things better.

I miss the snow. Call me crazy. The South Island has lots of snowy mountains for me to visit, but I do miss being in it in the winter. There's nothing quite like being out in the falling snow. I love the utter stillness and the freshness in the air and the sparkle. It always makes me feel good.

I love snow! (except when i have to drive in it...)
It makes me feel like a kid again, simple happiness. I used to go swimming very early in the morning, about a 20 min walk to the pool, and i loved it when there was a bit of a snowstorm to get through. This was in Ottawa, which has LOTS of snow. In Toronto, there's much less snow, but it's sunnier, which is preferable overall.

Oh dear. This seems to be happening much too often. :("
I think it's eye strain. Or maybe just the change in seasons.

No way! It's more like the change in weather or what you ate or stress! I think you need a couple of days off and some sleep. And maybe a humidifier at night. ;-D

Cool! The buttons make such a good contrast in both shape and color.

That's really pretty! Do you have instructions? This looks like a great library craft!

No instructions whatsoever... sorry. But it's very simple: You cut about a 20 cm - 25 cm piece of the inner tube and then cut the "center" of it into strips. Make sure to leave a couple of centimeters on both ends of the tube whole (= do not cut the strips all the way to the end of the tube) because that's where you put the snap/press studs.
