Oh, nice! What did you see, Anne?"
I saw Lady MacBeth from Mtsensk by Schostacovitch. Very strange performance, but a female solist out of this world and majestic music. Not a sweet story, but tragic with violence and death, but a great experience nevertheless. It is fun sometimes to expand my horizon I think and challenge what I really think I like or not :)

Yes, that is a good approach, I do this too when I think I got to settled in my ways and my likings.
I saw Shostakovich's Lady in Prague once - they did a kind of comparison with Janacek's Katia Kabanova and both operas left me deeply impressed.

(A yellow leaf just flew by my window - and it's raining. Luckily the weather forecast for where I am going on my weekend trip in the mountains, says no rain. I cross fingers)

In order to keep my brain in shape, I need to challenge it once in a while :)

I noticed a few leaves turning yellow yesterday. I blame this, entirely, on you. ;-p

“No internet“ are two words and never ever I would break a rule, ähm ;-)

Internetless :p

My, such a rude word."
lol, we recently had road toll booths taken away nearby. Now you have to have a thing attached to your car that the sensor reads as you drive through the toll, and it charges you. The radio DJs were having fun calling the new tolls "cashless" and exclaiming how dirty that sounded. :-P

We have a cashless laundromat :-)
(Cashless is a word in Danish, pengeløst)
We've used sensors like that for a while when crossing some of the big bridges, they're called a brobizz (bro = bridge) but you can also pay with cash/credit card if you prefer that

I know I had my word for today already. This one's for yesterday. I just found a letter from New Zealand in my letter box (must have arrived yesterday in the afternoon). It has the most beautiful stamps on it. I've got Bilbo, Thorin, Legolas and Gandalf. Thank you so much, Alison! This made my day. :-)
