I'm glad for you!"
Thanks

I wish you a very nice time with your daughter and that you can enjoy the time with your father too!

Have fun! :)"
I will :-)
It's only for the weekend, but I love the sea and the view is stunning.

Indeed! An overnight staff retreat to a nearby resort/convention facility that sits out in the middle of our high desert, adjoining the bosque (woodlands along the river). I roomed with my younger daughter who is an EA at our school, met new staff, and shared a lot of interesting approaches and insights to teaching. I wish every school was able to do something like this. It could transform morale, and that has to positively impact students.

Oh, dear. That anticipation you had going earlier looked so positiv and hopeful.

*finally, phew!*"
I'm glad, that you are home, I have missed you here!"
Thank you, Sabine! Glad to see that you returned from Helgoland :-)

Have you got a Schultüte?
( Schultüte translation by Leo: large cornet of cardboard filled with sweets and little presents given to children in Germany on their first day at school)

I hope you survive the tons of chocolate! ;-)
Where I come from the Schultüte is (aptly) called Zuckertüte = sugar bag because of all the sweets. They grow on sugar bag trees and are given to the first graders when the go to school for the first time. It's really sweet. ;-)
