The Best Thing About Today...

I only style my hair in the Spring, Winter and Fall here in "The Swamp." It's futile to do anything with it during the Summer with all the humidity. It goes all frizzy and wavy in less than an hour no matter what products I put on it. :(

It is the first day in a row of 12 days, that I could catch my tram without running like mad. : )"
If that had been me, it would have been the first time in 1..."
I have time in the morning, but than I sit ready to sell on my couch and think: I could read one page or two and than I have to run.( I'm working hard for my personal besttime ) ; )

I've been POA to a very sick family member. Been asked several times how I'm doing and all I could think of to say is fine, which for some us in AA is code for:
F-____ up
I-insecure
N-neurotic
E-emotional"
another favorite single word I've used during this time:
G-getting
R-really
E-edgy
A-and
T-tense

I am sorry to hear that, Kim, I wish that things get better soon and then your "fine" will be real.

Sending warm thoughts your way, Kim. Your words make me smile, though. Such a brilliant way to include more than one word in one's post! :-) I think I'll use the idea one of these days myself. ;-)

ETA: as in satisfied. Not as in writing-stuff-we-produce, although generating more of that would be nice too. LOL
Winter.... but without the snow... yet.
Yep, that's what my New England spring is like this year. I'm tired of being tired, but I'm also tired of this cold business. *sigh*

That actually sounds really nice! It's been in the 50's for awhile now, and might have even gotten down into the 40's last night. We're supposed to get to low 60's today, but not much beyond that for a few days.

I had the same reaction. Bring on the 90 degree weather. I feel like I'll never be warm again.

One day at a time, Kim.

Thank you for asking. You guys are my solace during these rather gloomy times.

I'm so sorry for you, but don't give up!

:) I won't. I was just feeling a bit maudlin, but tomorrow is another day and there will be other opportunities to pursue. I am sorry if I was a negative nancy.

That is the right perspective, but you are not a negative nanny.I have had the impression, that you love your metier and that your profession is important for you. So it is okay to be sad. I keep my fingers crossed for you!

You're allowed to feel down after getting that message. I am sure something will come up that is even better :). Best wishes, dear Vivian.

lol. I only run for the bus if I think I have a chance at catching it. And when I do run, I probably catch it about 50% of the time, and that's a very rough estimate, leaning toward missing it more than 50%.
But since I stopped styling my hair in the morning, I catch the bus more often. :-) It just means my hair looks kinda funny, but I don't really care that much. I'd rather catch the bus!
