Oh, that's frustrating!

Couldn't you get another free email address somewhere? When something similar happened to me in the past, I was luckily able to use my second address.

Instagram is the only thing I have for social media and I really like it. Though it took time for me to get my head around documenting my life in pictures versus only posting the really pretty shots. lol. I don't have to say much in a comment. And I can review books there too, sorta. Which reminds me, I should do an Automatic Detective post!

I agree. I love the simplicity of Instagram. That saying about a picture being a thousand words? EXACTLY. ;-D

Antonella | 11568 comments I finished a big translation which kept me occupied - and slightly stressed - for exactly one month.

The stress came from the fact that I had one month to make it, but in the meantime I kept receiving little translations from other clients, to whom I couldn't say no. Even though a colleague helped me with those, in the end it was a bit too much...

Congratulations! That sounds tough. I hope you get to have an easier time of it this week. I also hope you get to have some relaxation time. Put your feet up and have a rest! :)

I'm scheduled to get my second vaccine (Pfizer) on April 6.

Congratulations to Alison, Susan (Happy Birthday!), and SamSpayed PI! I'm thankful that so many of us are getting vaccinated. I had my first dose last Saturday (Pfizer) and all went well — a small bit of soreness, but no other issues. Just waiting for my younger SIL, nephew, and nephew-in-law to be called...

I'm very slowly learning how crucial it is to lower stress and give ourselves some "me time" even if it's just an afternoon, or a power nap, or enjoying a small quiet moment. Should be obvious, but it's so difficult to stick to it...
Hopefully now you'll have a bit more time to just relax and unwind.

I'm getting into meditation for this, and trying to up my tai chi game as I've not been practicing much in the last few months. I'm working on my morning routine to include time to journal, read tarot cards for the day, and meditate and my dog has taken to sleeping next to me while I do this the past few days. I hope that continues. Nothing helps you gain a good habit like having a friend join you!

Yes! It's amazing, and often so sudden. Marvelous! I've seen some crocuses around, always the first in my neighborhood. I planted 70 bulbs last year and they are starting to come up! So many trees are going wild right now, budding and changing color and doing all the getting ready things. I have yet to see any actual leaves, but any day now it's going to happen. Yay spring!

Little crocuses have come and gone in February. Muscari/grape hyacinth are blooming. I also planted a number of new bulbs last fall. The new ones are just breaking ground; a few established early tulip have opened.

Fingers crossed to avoid another hard frost. Temps dropped two days ago back into the 30ºF range at night with a supposed drop to 27º last night. My husband wrapped the little fruit trees (planted last year and blossoming now) in garden covers and regular sheets and they look OK today. Last year our whole area of town lost fruit to a late frost.

The Best Thing About Today...

Looking forward to eight days of "catch-up," which doesn't sound fun but includes things like outlining new books and choosing cover art and making promo vids and getting to visit guilt-free on social media--the fun part of the writing biz!

So much of the "work" of writing--at least for me--happens before I ever start writing. That's the beauty of plotting/outlining. You're going through all the initial scenarios, discarding, upping the ante, embellishing. When I give myself plenty of time AHEAD of the writing, the writing always goes faster and more smoothly.

I had mine on Tuesday. I felt unexpectedly emotional too. In fact, the day before I even had it, I suddenly started crying in the car driving to my sisters because she was going to get hers as well.

It's kind of a big deal!

Starting the next book, which will be Bell, Book and Scandal. Also working on Hide and Seek for Patreon.

The best thing about today was the craaaazy amount of uncontrollable laughter triggered by my 9th graders making music videos. One of the groups wanted to make an 80s music video using all the clichés possible to the era. Imagine all the fanny bags, too big jeans jackets, makeup, hairdo, dance moves... they brought even Rubik's cube with them. :-D

The best thing about my day was getting to pull over 100 titles from the collection at the library that have been damaged in some way or are just falling apart from too much use. It feels great to freshen things up and get rid of things no one wants to touch let alone read.

I'm nowhere near done. been weeding roughly 100 books a week when I come in and it will continue for quite some time.
