I was born yankee so never did understand the difference between dinner and supper, but supposedly there is one, at least where I'm from. I think dinner's actually lunch? And supper is the evening meal? Whatever, I'm a buckeye, though, wth do I know about it, not much. ;-p

Far as I know, they mean the same thing. Same time-of-day meal. Only supper is more family oriented and less formal than dinner. But they're still interchangable.
Yankees think that, though. Dinner and supper are synonymous. When we moved to WV when I was little, that was one of the things that threw me, but in central WV at least, they mean different meals. That was one of the blend-with-the-natives things I rebelled against as a kid so never paid it much attention, but used to be that way.

I'm always having this conversation with people. I was brought up with Breakfast, Dinner, Tea. Nowadays Dinner can be called Lunch, but Tea is never called Dinner even if it's a cooked meal rather than sandwiches. It's my council house roots showing :-P

Yes! I'm all for second breakfast. I don't feel like eating before I leave for work (too early for that!), but weekend breakfasts are perfect because we always eat them so late.

I have taken my migraine-medicine and if I do that, I feel like a Zombie. But, if I don't take the medicine, I can't work. My poor staff, have had to work with a Zombie. Next time we can have a get- together, I can see it. That could be a good coffee commercial.

We have lunch and supper. Dinner is whichever is the big meal of the day. I like to have lupper.
