Sunday morning. The SO is off to get donuts (which I haven't eaten in years--ARE THEY STILL GOOD??) and then maybe a quick swim before I settle into a day of writing.

You could consider adopting an older dog. Marlowe is the only one of my three I got as a puppy. You'll still have to work on the pool issues, though, and dogs need a little house-training reinforcement when they go to new homes, but it's nothing like raising a puppy. Still, in the long run, I find two dogs are easier than one, except where finding an apartment or condo is concerned. And three are way harder than two.

That is my theory--regarding the two versus one. Three...the SO would never go three. He is fighting the idea of two, but that's a battle I know I can win--if I'm certain it's the right decision. ;-)

Yup, get an older dog for sure, if you get a second. I thought about getting a second for Adrien, in the beginning, but I think she’s settled down and is now comfortable alone. She’s not great with other dogs, and has apparently gotten into a minor tiff with another greyhound at daycare, so.... but my space is also small, so we don’t have the space for another dog anyway.

Oh yes. You've already got a good sized dog for an apartment!

Marlowe is extremely social and I think he does miss having someone to play with. (Someone who can keep up.)

Finishing Stranger in the House last night and celebrating with a trip to buy plants this morning. :-)

Although the weather has turned weirdly cold again, that crowded patio is a promise of sunny days spent in the garden very soon.

Lol, my Dad told me recently that he’d been dubious about me getting a large dog in a small apartment, until he met Adrien. As with most people, he knew nothing about greyhounds until then. Now he gets it. :-)

TBTAT so far...

Waking up with the windows open to a beautiful day with fresh air all around me. I hate air conditioning, so when I can, this is what I love. It’s not too hot or cold outside, so it’s perfect under my covers. :-) doing some reading before I take Adrien for a long walk. Then we’ll get breakfast and I’ll work on editing all day.

Couldn’t be better. :-)

For me, the best thing about today was getting home, getting pizza, and starting the mini series And Then There Were None. I’m sooo exhausted and cranky, I needed this break. Now, to get to bed early!

A super useful webinar on how to use Goodreads as an author! I mean, you would think as long as I've been on here I'd know the basics, but no. I never leave this group.

Among other things, I learned why some of my upcoming books still reflect old release dates.

I love learning new and useful things. <3

Our new granddaughter!

Born this afternoon (June 6, 2019) in Port Angeles, Washington.

We'll meet her on Sunday when we arrive after our 3-day drive.
Happily our younger daughter was with her sister throughout her labor and the birth. :)

Hi Alison! We’re in SLC again — just an overnight AirBNB stop enroute (about 11 hours ABQ-SLC with stops). :)
