The Best Thing About Today...

Happy anniversary! Hope your meal was lovely.

36 years is quite an accomplishment in many ways—Happy Anniversary!
That restaurant looks alluring. :-)

I have today off and the only real commitment is to take Adrien for a long walk this morning. :-)

I love those (too few) days without commitments. Enjoy!

Hurrah for days of uninterrupted reading! I loved it too.

Yay!
Yay!
My work department got a new public desk today! We’re so excited because it’s a lot more user friendly than the cramped non-desk thing we had before. :-)

I don't think anything strikes dread in my heart as the words TAX SEASON do.
Even though I do very much like my tax person!

hahahaha. Luckily, I think we all understand the cryptic comments.

After two days of frantic running in circles, I'm pretty calm and reasonably focused.
One Thing at a Time.
One Thing at a Time.

LOL! I read the title of the topic before checking the new comment, and I immediately thought that the best thing about today is the sun shining. Great minds...
It rained yesterday. It snowed last night. It’s cloudy today... is there a chance of meatballs? Maybe. But the best thing is that it’s my first two days off in a row where I’m not traveling or doing anything important. Might see the Dragons 3 movie and go grocery shopping, but that’s it.

Happy, sunny birthday! ;-)

Happy birthday!

A cross between a croissant and a muffin. My daughter's first venture into the bakery business. Their market stall sold out!"
Did you get one before they sold out?

These sound both delicious and inventive! No wonder they were sold out.

Cool! I’m so happy for you!

The best thing about today was a long nap with hubby and Armi The Dog. Since we came back home from our vacation two weeks ago, it’s been absloutely crazy busy at work—and at home. I needed that nap so bad.
I'm loving the Best Thing About Today comments. :-)
My best thing about today is taking a break from writing to pop into Goodreads.

My best thing about today was not getting my library book group kicked out of our regular space (because they changed their hours and didn't tell me!), but finding a new space within a few minutes with no problems.
And of course, the meeting itself. I do enjoy those meetings. The people who come are great!

That little Marlowe the Mutt will live to hurl more insults at the insolent Golden Retriever who dares to live on our street. ;-)

Master of Restless Shadows (by Ginn Hale) is set for October 6. It's Atreau's story, so it might be amusing. Definitely one of the best things about today! :)
I was planning to read the Scarlet Wolf books this year, but it’s been so long since I read the Lord of the White He’ll books, nothing was familiar except some character names I thought I should know. So, frustrated, I gave up. I need to start back at the beginning again, which is probably okay, since there’s a new book coming out. :-D so, I’m waiting until that’s out, then I’ll rereadWhite Hell, and finally get into everything that comes after those two.
TBTAT... Day Off. :-) I had no huge plans except to listen to audiobooks and punch Pride buttons. I finished Green Glass Beads and it was amazing!!

I have formatting to do in time for the release date of 15th April but most of that is done as well.
Historical romances are so much more work than contemporaries but I hope I've done this justice.
And relax...

I was thinking I should re-read as well. Lord of the White Hell was one of the first queer romances I read (lucky me!) and that was a good while back. It's such an amazing series.

I don't really want to suggest a group/challenge read, seeing as those have not been popular lately, but I kind of do... lol.

I've been thinking of rereading. I haven't read the last two because its been so long. I thought it would a good challenge, too.

For some reason this country has a different Mothers' Day to the rest of the world. So I got given Jasminum Officionale and the whole house smells like heaven."
Happy Mothers' Day! Lucky you--jasmine smells wonderful. :)
TBTAT is definitely not the fact that it’s Monday, and already the third day of my work week. Lol. But hopefully I’ll have time to work on my research guide for writing fiction. I’m finalizing the format, working on the Introductions for each section, adding pages for finding and starting a critique group, and then finishing the publishing and marketing pages. I added more to it over the weekend, but the end is still in sight!

This has been a really fun project! I just want to be done with it so that I can share it with the world already! But it's okay. I've been realizing over the past couple of days that there are sections I needed to include, like writing a blog. So, I'm keeping busy!
