The Best Thing About Today...

UGH. :-("
In Catalina and sick?!? Sorry to hear about this. I hope you'll get well soon!
I’ll be there! We had to stop in SaltLake to refuel, but just landed in Long Beach. I’m now eating lunch at the airport before heading to the ferry terminal. If anyone is looking for me I’ve got a green backpack and a brown and orange messenger bag. :-)
It was beyond anything I’ve seen before. I wish I could have stayed to see it several more times and to explore the city a bit more.
They have some short videos on Instagram if anyone’s interested @englishnationalballet

That’s wonderful, Jordan.

I've just solved a mystery. I don't use much my cell phone, and only a few friends have my number. I do use it to get codes to log in in some free wifi nets though.
Since a couple of years I get phone calls from call centers, maybe one ever 3 months. I never answer to unknown numbers on the cell phone. I check them online, see they are spammer, and block them for the future. But it's disquieting: have someone infiltrated my computer to get that number?
Now I just answered one of these calls by mistake, and after telling them to cancel my number, I asked them where did they get it. It's from a random number generator!

Right back at you, Josh. Double UGH. :("
I was sick for about three days, but I mega-dosed myself with cold meds, liposomal Vitamin C and gargled with hydrogen peroxide mixed with water. If that sounds ghastly, it was, but by the time people started arriving, I felt great again!

Visiting.
Visiting my parents. My Mom fell awhile ago and had to have hip surgery. She’s now in rehab getting lots of physical therapy and doing well. Since we don’t live near each other, this is the first time I’ll see her since before she fell.

Ambition
Today, come hell or high water I start writing at ten o'clock. My ambition is to get halfway down this monstrous list of Things To Do before the clock strikes ten. :-D

I'm glad you're able to spend this time with her.
My mother had knee-replacement surgery a couple of weeks ago. She's been in excruciating pain for years and the doctors thought it was probably her hip, but could find no deterioration. It turned out to be her knee.
She says that compared to the pain she endured, the pain of the knee replacement is much more tolerable.

The best thing about today was my internet at home was fixed. I've been without since Thursday.

I hear you on that one. A fixed and working internet is almost always the best thing about the day after. ;-)

That's such a pleasure. I almost can't do it anymore. If I wake up after seven, I feel guilty and have to start moving.

Well, I ended up sleeping in until 8 but had, and still have, so much to do, that there was no lazing about, much as I wanted to!
Rain!
Well, other than that it cut the kiddos recess short and my blissful 25 minutes of quiet was 15 minutes... Still, so welcome!

Another blackbird decided that the plant climbing near my study window is ideal for a nest. Of course! It is near the larder = my window sills, where I always put several types of grains ;-).
This happened also in the past, but it is the first time that the nest is at the same height as my eyes. I really hope that it works.
The best thing about today is I woke up with a sense that I am slowly but surely beginning to catch up.
I mean, I'm not caught up yet, but I can actually see down the road to a point where I could be!

Lots of snow today. It's beautiful. I don't work until the afternoon, which is nice because the roads will be clear by then. A cup of tea and watching the snow fall and catching up on GR equals an excellent morning.

I love that you get birds nesting in front of your window. I remember the last time it happened and I loved hearing about the babies. Fingers crossed the blackbird makes a nice home there. :)

That's really exciting! We have pigeons that nest and squabble with each other right outside the window to my work office.

Today the construction works proceed, with meditation pauses.
I wonder if the blackbird lady is there on the branches thinking that this is not a safe position - despite the yummy seeds - because I move too much in my office. We'll see.

Now I don’t have to wait for the bus in the morning in darkness, and it is still daylight when I leave work in the afternoon. It makes all the difference!

I feel the same. I love Daylight Savings time for this reason.

lol. Not yet for us. Well, I get up early because of the dog and it's still dark out. It's annoying because with the fall back time we were just starting to see the sun earlier in the morning for about a week until spring forward time and we lose the hour.

It's Friday!
My last official designated catch-up today. Tomorrow is all writing--the rest of the month is all writing.

The best thing about today is the fact that we had our parents join us for a walk and dinner today.

Happy for you, Loretta. This is such a crazy time for other professionals I know.
I finished my mom’s returns earlier this week, and will start mine this weekend. I’m never in a hurry with those because we always manage to owe money, even when I remember to make quarterly payments. Maybe I’ll finish before 11:59 on 4/15 this year... ;)

My husband is in town, arriving yesterday evening and leaving tomorrow morning, but here for an early celebration of our 36th anniversary (on 3/19) with dinner at one of our favorite special-occasion dinner spots.
