The parental units are on their own for the next few days, so the SO and I are going to drop by and bring them fried chicken and fixin's. Poor little Marlowe will be on his own for a few hours this evening, which he hates.

I would usually bring him, but with my sister out of town, I'd have to handle her dogs -- much larger than Marlowe -- too, and they can get a little irritated with M. He's obsessed with one of them to the point where the dog shows his fangs. :-D He's a nice dog, I don't think he'd eat M, but I don't want to test his patience too far.

Serendipitously, I started a new Pinterest board of "Fantastic Beast" brooches, focusing on vintage/antique, with some contemporary. Unicorns have been the most difficult to find. My personal aesthetic sense is particular/peculiar, and I mostly avoid cute. There are an amazing number of poorly rendered horses with horns or wings. Dragons predominate, in the past, as well as present (GOT?) :)
