Frustrated.
Someone, I'm guessing the publishers, yanked seven books I'd planned to order for my mm romance lib guide and a Modern Romance book list that's going to be featured on our new website once the new site is up and running. The one book I really wanted, Uncovering Ray, about a non-binary character, was a Saimhain title, which I didn't realize. BOO!

Not cool. You're making me drool at work!

I suppose that to have it on paper is not an option, is it?
Anyway I've read it and I'll leave a review.

Were they all Samhain?
Because otherwise...how very weird!

Maybe. I think maybe yes.

No, three were Saimhain, three were Less Than Three, and one was DS. Still, odd. And annoying. Oh well.

And I'd say get a girl. But, that's just me. I much prefer female dogs, having been humped by males before and seen things I never wished to see. lol.

That is frustrating. Uncovering Ray is a cool book and it's a shame you can't get it. Fingers crossed the author will re-release it at some stage.

I was so relieved yesterday when I found two more books I'd ordered but hadn't realized had nonbinary/genderqueer characters! The Impossible Boy and apparently Documenting Light is more nonbinary/genderqueer than transgender. So, I'm still sad about Uncovering Ray, but found not one, but two replacements. :-)

Thank you so much! I like Anna Martin's books, and her as a person, and the idea of this book, so I bought it.

You're welcome!
I've not read either of them yet, so right now I'm just going off of the reviews I've read of them.

I have just read Documenting Light and it's really wonderful. One character is nonbinary and one is trans and they alternate the POV, so you get both perspectives. It's a lovely book and I definitely recommend it.

I love that your library is going to have this book. Thank you for doing what you do, Jordan. It makes me happy that it will be out there being read by more people. :)

:-D I'm just really glad I CAN do stuff like this!
Also, we have a copy of Behrouz Gets Lucky, which will go on one of the lists, as it's more lesbian romance than gay romance with one butch lesbian and one nonbinary character, I think. But still, cool.

Brain.
I just can't brain this week. At all. I wish I could sleep for a week.
... actually, a coworker just had a brilliant idea, you take a week of vacation and put yourself in a quiet little pod where you sleep and completely rejuvenate yourself for a week. I could use that right about now. :-)

Almost lost my job. Almost cried in public. Almost... But not. I think I have a new respect for that word.
Snow!
Predicting a lovely combination of snow, sleet, and rain for 24 hours starting this afternoon. Must get to the grocery store first!
