Frustrated.

Someone, I'm guessing the publishers, yanked seven books I'd planned to order for my mm romance lib guide and a Modern Romance book list that's going to be featured on our new website once the new site is up and running. The one book I really wanted, Uncovering Ray, about a non-binary character, was a Saimhain title, which I didn't realize. BOO!

I suppose that to have it on paper is not an option, is it?

Anyway I've read it and I'll leave a review.

The neighbors have a number of four month old puppies that need homes pretty urgently.

No, three were Saimhain, three were Less Than Three, and one was DS. Still, odd. And annoying. Oh well.

And I'd say get a girl. But, that's just me. I much prefer female dogs, having been humped by males before and seen things I never wished to see. lol.

That is frustrating. Uncovering Ray is a cool book and it's a shame you can't get it. Fingers crossed the author will re-release it at some stage.

I was so relieved yesterday when I found two more books I'd ordered but hadn't realized had nonbinary/genderqueer characters! The Impossible Boy and apparently Documenting Light is more nonbinary/genderqueer than transgender. So, I'm still sad about Uncovering Ray, but found not one, but two replacements. :-)

Thank you so much! I like Anna Martin's books, and her as a person, and the idea of this book, so I bought it.

I have just read Documenting Light and it's really wonderful. One character is nonbinary and one is trans and they alternate the POV, so you get both perspectives. It's a lovely book and I definitely recommend it.

:-D I'm just really glad I CAN do stuff like this!

Also, we have a copy of Behrouz Gets Lucky, which will go on one of the lists, as it's more lesbian romance than gay romance with one butch lesbian and one nonbinary character, I think. But still, cool.

Brain.

I just can't brain this week. At all. I wish I could sleep for a week.

... actually, a coworker just had a brilliant idea, you take a week of vacation and put yourself in a quiet little pod where you sleep and completely rejuvenate yourself for a week. I could use that right about now. :-)
