It's sort of normal, yes. It only snowed for a few hours, so there's a thin layer, which will probably melt in a day or two. It's pretty, atm.

They are quite cool. Also, I love New Zealand news :-)
We do have our moments down here. :)
Oh ho, I just remembered! This is cool--this is the back side of the aquarium in Napier where Inky the octopus escaped from. It is right on the beach and the art is amazing (and amazingly difficult to photograph)! It's a nice tribute to octopuses. :)

Wow. That's awesome. Thank you for posting the pics :-)

Very cool mural honoring Inky! : )
Here's about 1/3 of another large amazing mural (birds and music) in the Arizona town of Flagstaff. Lots of murals brightening their small downtown.
(P.S. I know I posted this here somewhere before.)

Home. ...almost. Stopping at the library first to pick up the seven items I have on hold that have been collecting over the past week.

Cool!
Scammed?
Ugh. I've now got to call my electric company to make sure I'm still a customer just to double check that the Idiot(my polite term) didn't sign me up without my knowledge for a new company I'm not comfortable with. This dude shows up on a Saturday to check to see if my Energy rates are correct. Right there I thought something was fishy. Then he wants to sign me up for a new company over the phone without letting me see the contract when I'm supposed to say that yes, I've seen it on a recorded message. He claimed he'd runout of paperwork and would mail it to me. Right. Soon as I said I wanted to see the contract first he muted the phone and tried to convince me everything was cool. When I still didn't agree he just backed away. A better company would have said they'd not sign me up yet but could send the contract to let me decide.
I'm still a little shaken over the whole incident and irritated with him for trying to pull that scam. I just hope he didn't get anyone else in the building. I normally don't answer my door unless I'm expecting someone so why I did in the first place bugs me and why I agreed to let him see a bill, I don't know either. Grrr.

How very unpleasant! Sorry to hear about this.
I understand that you are shaken, but try not to blame yourself for not being perfect. The important thing is that you didn't sign. Next time you'll be better prepared.
People coming to your door are very unusual here, a bit less so in Italy, I think (on some matters I don't know anymore because I left such a long time ago).
Read some m/m and everything will be better ;-)
:-) is a matter of fact I started the audio of CUTYS for the millionth time last night. Which helped a lot.

Ugh. You have to be so careful, Jordan. Really. It's a very good policy not to open that door unless you know for sure who's on the other side.
That said, you are not wrong for assuming that people will be good and decent.

Quiet.
It is so very quiet -- almost eerily quiet -- after two sets of house guests, the Catalina trip, and then finally a concert!

Well, I had a bad feeling right from the start. I just couldn't act on it sooner than I did for some reason.

RomanceSelectionTeam!!!
I am finally, after years of dreaming, on the team that orders the romance novels at work! I'm charged with all of the LGBTQ+ books in Ebook format as well as the het mystery and suspense books. :-D
I don't know (yet?) how one goes about ensuring their book is available on Overdrive, the book platform used by a lot of libraries, but I'm going to see if I can't figure that out. The books they have are hit or miss when looking at works by a single author, and that includes brand new stuff too.

Congratulations, Jordan. That's extremely cool. Those lucky Boston readers... :)

I felt like pizza and I bought an organic one from the supermarket. It was like reheated pizza, I was a bit unhappy afterwards and I had to comfort myself with large amounts of chocolate ;-).
I look forward to the next invitation from my baking friend...

Glad to hear it. Have a good post-birthday weekend. :)
