The Best Thing About Today...

As in I woke up Monday morning and asked myself if I should start to panic now. I decided not to do it, though. Christmas will come. I will not panic. :)"
You made the right decision, Anne. :)

Very good decision!

I can't do this. I really can't. I can't work out which virtual reality format. I've spent days in total and all I'm sure about is that they all work with one functioning eye...."
I'm not a fan of 3D either. I just don't see a need for it. 2D works just as good and is less expensive! :-) At least, movie-wise. I couldn't imagine playing a video game in 3D, 2D is not great for me so 3D would be horrible, I think.

I hope you're right, Alison and Sabine..

True. Now if panicking could slow it down, I'd say go for it.

How cool. Thank you for sharing this, Mymymble. Have fun!

Lovely!
Together with other 299 999 people ;-) I went to see the exhibition at Ateneum Art Museum in Helsinki in Summer 2014. This in London should be something similar. It was great.

Uh?!? Non native speaker here, or anyway someone who doesn't catch what you mean ;-).

Not at all, thank you for explaining.
You can check the Moomin's names in Italian and you'll see they are quite different.
In fact I always wondered about your name here ;-), so now I know.

No problem. BTW in Italian there are even different sets of names for different translations.
Teenagehood... tossed
Today I went through a bunch of old photo albums I've had since I was a kid. They're full of movie ticket stubs and newspaper and TV Guide clippings about my favorite TV shows of the day.
I saved maybe 4 items and pitched the rest down the trash shoot. I've kept these that long. I hope I don't miss them someday. They meant a lot to me growing up, articles about my favorite actors and such. But how necessary are they to keep? Well, they're gone now! In their place are coloring books and pencils! :-)

LOL! I suppose that if you felt like throwing them away you didn't deem them important anymore ;-).
Were you a happy teenager?
Come to think of it, was I really a unhappy teenager as I remember? Probably it was 50% / 50%.

Well, I now have more space for other things!
Yeah, probably about the same for me.

Yes! I'll adopt Susan's word! :-)
3 hours 34 minutes of daylight seems a bit... unfair? :-D
I warmly welcome the Solstice!

This reminds me of Oscar in Iceland. Did we have his video here yet?

Technically, he's ranting about daylights saving but he especially mentions 3 hours of daylight, so... :-D
Long story short: I echo Antonella's sentiment, everything will be better from now on. :-)

Right on cue (first day of vacation) I woke up with signs of a cold. It's not that bad but I'd rather stay in bed than braving the wild that is shops shortly before Christmas. (yes, I'm whining for sympathy ;-) )

And sympathy you shall have!!! This doesn't sound good at all. Spending Christmas sick sucks big time! Forget the last minute grocery shopping and take out your fresh-ginger-tea-tricks, dear C!
Yeah, I just recently came home from the grocery shopping trip I sure hope is the last one for me before Christmas. It was a nightmare finding those parking spaces. Luckily I had my mom with me giving plenty of (un)helpful advice while I was driving... :-D
