Yes. The stars have a way of helping us to put everything into perspective.

So glad to hear your work is turning into a much more congenial and hopeful place.

It's so funny because I referenced a Harvest Moon in Fair Chance last week, and I've been seeing Harvest Moons everywhere since.

I was feeling very much under the weather yesterday. Headache, upset stomach, unable to sleep, itchy scalp (which is really weird!!) but today I am better again and able to focus.

I often like to listen to one of the acoustic Spotify lists when having leisurely breakfast on weekends. It just fits into my mindset perfectly during those relaxed moments.

I have a Pandora station called Meditation by the Sea. I find it very soothing and great to write by.
The SO refers to it as Suicide by the Sea. :-D

I'm glad you're feeling better today. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that completing the first draft of Fair Chance is going well. You can do eeet!

I feel horrible for my editor. Sometimes it is just impossible for me to turn in a complete first draft. I have to go through the whole bouncing back and forth--even when I know what I'm going to do, I STILL have to hand it off and get the pat on the head before I can do it.
Which, by this time in my career, is probably bizarre. But it also underlines how important it is to have someone on the other end who gives the right responses at the right time.

By the way, hubby is still sick. He was dumb enough to go back to work on Friday even though he was still clearly sick, so the result of that work day was that his situation took a nosedive into worse and he for example completely lost his voice.
So now when he tries to speak there is just this slight hiss coming out. Those of you who know him well, also know that he is a pretty talkative guy. You can imagine how hard it is for him to stay silent... We've had better times in our household, I'm afraid. BUT, I must say I'm savoring the lovely sound of silence for a change... (Do NOT tell him!)

Ha!
My Pandora station is Baroque. I listen while driving. Family members consider it to be an amiable sort of elevator music. It is sort of like that. There are snippets of longer pieces and 101 renderings of Pachabel's Canon. When PC comes on I immediately skip to the next offering. :)
The music I most listen to is 300+/- years old. Marin Marais just does it for me emotionally.

lol, when I'm driving, I need singable pop music. otherwise I fall asleep. Oops. I always find it awkward to be driving with passengers who might not be into singing what I like.

Say hi and get well to your hubby. And enjoy the quiet, dear ;)

I subscribe to this site's newsletter. It has lots of short, concise articles about earth and sky events. Unfortunately, the blog comments are often "not safe for school," so I've been unable to use it directly in my elementary classroom.

I remember being so moved by PC when I first heard it. Of course at that time EVERYONE was playing it for their wedding. So now when I hear it, I wince.
I wonder if it will ever be rediscovered and appreciated as if new.

It was definitely weird. I'm thinking you're right, but I can't figure out what would have triggered it.

LOL. Not sign language exactly, but he's started to use whistles on me — which is the most irritating thing EVER. So, now when he whistles, both me and Annie the dog appear on his side. (!!!)
Also — one short whistle means yes and a longer one means no (no-uh). I don't know who turns out to be more trainable here, me or him? I have a feeling I'm being tricked... :-D

Oh! OH! Do you guys remember the cool, cool tv series from way, way back called Tales of the Gold Monkey? I used to LOVE that show!
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083488/
Anyway, there was this dog (in the show) who answered "yes" with one bark and "no" with two barks. Now... that's hubby these days. :-)

Don't let that stop you!!! You might be able to get them to sing along.
Actually, I have a funny music story.
As some of you know, my sister is Laura Browne-Sorenson who has written some musical bits for television. Her work is...I don't want to say melancholy, but it's emotional and poignant.
But anyway, I love it and I always have her album in shuffle rotation in my car. One night I was driving her kids home from somewhere and one of her songs came on -- "Dear Friend," I think. It's one of those quietly moving pieces.
Anyway, the kids and I listen in silence and there's a little pause and her son says, "Wow. Mommy sure writes some sunshiney songs," and the three of us began to giggle hysterically.
:-D
BUT THE GIGGLING WAS WITH LOVE.

I wish Petri to get well soon, which will be good also for Johanna ;-).
Josh, I'm glad you just a short bad spell!
Sabine, I do hope you enjoyed the weekend.

Thank you Antonella, I have a good weekend. Reading, napping, reading, chatting with Hans, reading...
I am looking forward to read what for wonderful things you have done in your free time. ♥♥♥♥

I had to come here and tell you how terribly sorry I am to see that Anne and Petri have been sick after Southampton... I can't help but feel that it is all my fault... :( I really am sorry!!!
Although it seems Johanna might be actually grateful for some quiet - apart from a bark/ whistle here and there... :D
If it is any consolation - :D - I am also still enjoying the cough and I had fun for a few days with my ears due to the pressure thing when flying with a cold. I was struggling with dizziness for a few days.
I really hope Petri and Anne will get better soon and that nobody else caught something.

I'm sorry to her that. That's too long. Have you seen a doctor?
And I doubt that you should take on your shoulders he responsibility for everything that happened after Southampton: you are not so powerful ;-)

But for people being sick right after Southampton - I think I might be that powerful... :D :D
Yes, I did see a doctor and even stayed home from work the Thursday and Friday after I came back from Southampton - and that was good - it turned out I felt quite exhausted. And also because of the dizziness. It was very irritating when I moved and always had the feeling that my brain was half a meter behind me... :D
Right now the cough is annoying, but I feel okay. And I think it really is getting better now. And the ears are almost free. :)

Oh dear, I hope you soon will be completely well. And I don't think you are to blame for my little bout with sickness. I blame being cold in Southampton, combined with an exhausting trip back home, and rather busy days at work, taking care of children and generally too much going on. Besides, I am fine now and hopefully you will be, too :)
