I took my five year old niece and nephew to the playground today and enjoyed myself on the swing. That lovely, ticklish feeling in your tummy when you go high and then low :). One is never too old for simple joys :)

Fun! I love playing on the swings. There's a set of swings in a park by my house that is usually unoccupied, so I'll have a go for a few minutes if I'm passing by. It always makes me smile. :)

They should install swings outside all the old people's homes, don't you think? I'm certain that would do wonders :)

I feel for you. My school year starts on Monday.
I thought I'd be so ready for this, but I find myself panicking a bit.

Raspberry
The older I get the more I find myself stocking berries in the freezer for winter. Like... tons of them. Or freezer is already almost full of strawberries and blueberries, and raspberries are currently joining them. We have raspberry bushes in our garden and for the last couple of weeks I've been picking about 1-2 liters a day. Sea buckthorns will be next. I feel like I'm turning into a squirrel... or a bear.

Yesterday when I came home I looked out my kitchen window and saw a very large bird sitting kind of awkwardly in this large pan we use as a second birdbath. DId a double take and realized it was a hawk. It took off when I tried to catch a photo. :(

Oops, I forgot to tell my hawk story. My 'hawk' word was for a rubber hawk that we always hang lolling in our garden to scare of the smaller birds who are very determined to steal our berries. It was hawk-installing-day yesterday. :-)

It works. Not a small bird in sight when the hawk's around, and good thing. From that same window I once saw a hawk strike a dove in flight. All over almost instantly, except for a smattering of feathers.

I think it actually might be the most beautiful word I know (in English).

I'm surrounded by them. The movers will be here the 23 of August. All my belongings except my clothes and toletries, my kindle and my knitting, will be put in storage for a month until I can move into my new flat.
I hate packing! Moving sucks! I am in a constant state of anxiety. Please tell me it will all be worth it when this finally is over. :)

Hug you dear Anne! That sounds like a challenge! Do you have enough help? And I ask as Antonella, where will you be in the meantime?

My last check was in December last year, so that one was overdue. All was good, phew!

Congratulations!
Sabine, congrats!
Anne, it will definitely be worth it! Good luck! (Not that you need it, or anything)

It will all be worth it, Anne! Your new house will be so awesome! Yes, moving is awful, but it will be over soon. Moral support and hugs to you, friend. :)

It will be worth it when it is all over! It will be worth it when it is all over! It will be worth it when it is all over! It really will. You will have a whole month of reading and knitting.
