Thank you. I hope you have a wonderful vacation with your family.
I love the word "affection". It gives me warm fuzzy feelings when I see it or hear it. Sometimes it's even better than the word "love".

It is so cozy to lie in bed in my father's house, dry and warm, and listen to the wind in the trees.

I agree 100%. It's such a sweet, lovely word.

Yes, what Anne said. :-)

I had to look that one up. Will have to use it in the next days. To me, it sounds like what it means. :-)

And this, too. A new-to-me English word and such a delightful one. Lovely, Carlita. Thank you.

I agree. It's such a lovely word. Warm fuzzies! :)

I love the sound of this word. Haven't heard it or used it in a very long time. Thank you, Carlita. :)

This I had to google. What a great word. :-)"
Delighted!

I had to google to find the word. Someone had posted a link to a post about "There's a word for that." But I couldn't remember it.
The pleasant smell that accompanies the first rain after a dry spell.
[From petro- (rock), from Greek petros (stone) + ichor (the fluid that is supposed to flow in the veins of the gods in Greek mythology). Coined by researchers I.J. Bear and R.G. Thomas.]

It's a cool word and wonderful smell.
For me it's also very easy to remember, because hubby's name is Petri (rock, stone, Peter). ;-)
