The Best Thing About Today...

And it looks like I have to follow the Sharks now after Paulie signed with them. What?! "
I had to wait all day yesterday to see what would happen with the Caps...
Thought I'd share this conversation I had with my daughter the other day when she came into the room while I was watching a Caps hockey game on TV:
G: I thought hockey was over.
Me: Yeah, but they show replays of the best games of the season.
G: You're so lame.
Me: I am not! Plus, there are lots of other hockey obsessed dorks like me out there. *pointing to Tumblr open on my laptop and a bookmarked page of hockey documentaries to watch during the off season*
G: *rolls eyes*
Me: You just don't understand me. You don't understand the ridiculous awesomeness that is Patrick Kane. Hey, do you want to see this hilarious video of Kaner at the Jimmy Buffet concert? Or singing bad karaoke? Or slow dancing with a giant champagne bottle?
G: No. Just no.
Me: How about this video of all of his shootout goals? He's so good.
G: No! Can we watch New Moon?
Me: And you think I'm lame?!
G: Jacob, mom. Jacob.
Me: *sighs*
Also, I thought I'd share this article I read recently. It's mostly about DC's large community of gay hockey fans. The writer also contributes to the Puck Buddys blog. Interesting fact, I did not know that DC has the highest percentage of openly gay adults in the US.

36°C (96,8) in a country, which don't like air-co :-)"
It's rainy and cool-ish here this morning. But we had a heat wave and 95 degree HUMID weather the weekend before last when we were at an amusement park roasting in the sun. I cannot survive without A/C. Best invention ever, IMO. ;-)

Your grump fest reminded me of my internet issues. I'm thinking of dropping my internet provider now, rather than when I move it's so bad. I can't..."
My internet service at home makes me very grumpy, too. We have a local provider that is pretty much a monopoly and the DSL sucks. I can't wait to move just for more internet provider options.

I'm allowing myself a short grump-fest at the moment. It won't last too long though because in the end I start laughing at myself... which is kind of irritating too, come to think of it.

Take care, dear Anne! the first point worries me...
I can completely understand the grumpiness. I did a similar thing to our car, and i still feel quite embarrassed about it. I mean, the pillar was right there, it just took a while for the realization to get to the breaks...
Anyway, i hope all goes well at the doctor's and with the washer/drier, and in the meantime, i'm sending you hugs.

Hi Josh! I am happy, that you are back!"
Hello, Sabine! How are you feeling this week?"
I am feeling better, because I know I have one week at ..."
That's great news! Enjoy the holiday! :-)

Yes. Completely.

I think virtual hugs work better, but it's the thought that counts :)

Goodness Anne, that was a lot grrrr moments o.O
But yay for Greece, just bring cash and I think you'll be fine.

That is a lot of serious annoyances to happen all at once! I don't blame you for feeling grumpy. I would be grumpy too.
And probably less philosophical. ;-)

Aww. You guys are easy to keep track of. I consider you friends.

Yes. For sure.
And also the closer to the holiday, the crazier the Costco experience.

I just talked to the washer/dryer people and they will come again on Monday with a dryer and with people who can install all things for me (I hope - keep your fingers crossed!)"
fingers and toes crossed!

Absolutely! Josh, stand up and take a bow.

Sadly, the one major con to the new place is fewer internet providers. :-(

Name.
What's in a name?
So, when I first got my Amazon account years ago, I wasn't into letting the world know who I was and used a bunch of TV character names in place of my own for things like that, or for a few of my extra email accounts and whatnot. I just decided to change my Amazon profile name to Jordan, and I have to say, I feel so much better, it's weird. I didn't expect to feel better after such a thing! lol. Though I think it had to do with the fact that my name had been listed as a female name and is now my favorite gender neutral name. Now, if only my Yahoo emails would follow suit so easily. :-)

Yes, that's one word and a technical term. If I have to explain the use of a big horizontal multi-touch screen one more time I might just go up in flames. It is that hot, too.

I had vivid dreams of living in a glass-sphere above the sea.:-)"
That sounds awesome and the view must have been pretty spectacular.
I dreamt of ice skating, which... either it's the heat or I really want it to be September when the rink opens again (and incidentally there's the UK Meet). ;-)

Is it really that time of the year again? Wow, time flies!

(nearly uninhabitable during this heatwave, our brains are definitely melting - hurray for air conditioned movie theaters and even shopping malls!!!)

For the people who shall deliver the dryer and take away the old appliances, put the new ones in place and hopefully ensure I can do laundry soon!

Oh, that really piled up on you! I'm to hear that you still laugh, though. And you have plans in motion how to solve all the problems, so it's just a matter of time until you're back to normal. (((Hugs))) Find something enjoyable when everything is back to normal to compensate for all the trouble.
