Thanks guys, I'm wicked excited! It is the building I've been on a wait list for. I was lucky in that someone had to move out ASAP and broke their lease yesterday. Then I called to check on the wait list. They had nothing for August, but this apartment is available July 15th, which is actually better for me!

Nicest place I've ever lived in. Brand new building. Washer/dryer in unit. Three closets of a good size. Beautiful kitchen that opens out to the living room. It's bigger than my current place, which means more books!!! Lol. It allows dogs of all sizes! There's a fitness room and bike storage

I can't wait to move in so I can share pics with you all. Apparently it's got the best views of the city as it's on the top floor of a tall building. And there's an elevator to please my mom when she visits and a bed and breakfast nearby too! I'm still in shock. Lol.

Idamus Thanks Anne, I thought of you during the exam, it was the speeches after Utøya, by Stoltenberg and Helle Thorning, they made me cry a bit to be honest.

Well, it could have gone better, but I don't have to take the class/exam again, I'm good with that :-)

Thanks

Congrats on the exams!

Do you mean the speech when Stoltenberg said that the response of Norway would be more democracy, more openness and more humanity? Anyway that was an historical sentence and lots of people in the world are thankful to Norway for it and for the reaction to the Utøya massacre.

Jordan, I couldn't be more pleased for you. Went though the whole icky apartment hunting mess late last year. Thought I'd be living in my non-existing car or under a cardboard box in an alley. Shudder. Now, tell us the details when you scrape yourself off the ceiling.

Once I'm moved in I'll see if I can't share some pics with you all.

Train

Greetings from train! They have better Wi-Fi connection here than I have at home. Amazing.

message 5988: by Kari (new)

Kari Gregg (karigregg) | 2083 comments Add my squee-along, Jordan, for getting your new place, but I don't envy you the move. We are a T-minus 19 months for dh's retirement and 4 years away from our being able to move to wherever we want. But I think we'll just keep the friggin house because the thought of moving makes me long for rum. Great oceans of rum. ;-p

Anyhoo, my word for the day: mocha. Not a good idea on a steroid day, ask me if I care. LOL

Preferably a job, but while I search for one I have to be at a course 5 hours a day, and we basically just sit around twiddling our thumbs, after logging in jobs we want to apply for. :p

Enjoy! We used to go there twice a year for tango festivals. I love the art museum, botanical gardens, and eating at Le Central where the specialty is moules et frites.

One would think that it's self-evident that passengers want good WiFi on trains. You would think our train company would work to make it happen... ;-)

Are you going away for the weekend? Have fun!
