I'm nearing Hollins Ridge in about 50 miles or so, which I believe is about the middle of the first half? I don't have the exact mileage on me so I'd have to check when I get home. I think I'm somewhere around 660 miles total so far. Though the total is 1,779!

I saw a hedgehog today when I went for a walk. It was alarmingly cute, nosing around in the leaves and digging with its little paws. Made my day. :)

I think they're hiding from us. We're interlopers and everything, you know? But I did nearly run into an orc army and I overheard the leader (as I was hugging a very high tree branch to keep myself hidden from view) say that there were elves ahead and they dashed off in one direction, to the east, I believe. We quickly walked in the other direction for awhile.
