I agree with this. Too many migraines and too much exhaustion lately, Sabine. You have to have a little time to yourself.

Cool"
Children dressed as Easter witches, bunnies, chicks... Going from door to door and casting their spells. Luckily I have a big pile of candy and chocolate to reward them with. In return I have bunch of artistic looking, colorfully decorated willow branches in my vase. :-)
The very first (and extremely small!) witches woke us up pretty early in the morning by ringing our doorbell four times to get us up and about. Those witches! They are so insistent! :-D

That's cool, we have fastelavn the day before Lent where kids do a similar thing, although they can dress as they want (and they whip their parents in the morning...)

Is better to be caution with witches. The small ones are more often then not very mean.
:-D

I have never heard of this. It sounds interesting.

Joahnna, do you have a pot of rye grass?"
That was an interesting link, Loretta! So many different Easter traditions all over the world!
Yes, I do have a couple of pots of rye grass on my dinner table. :-) This is an Easter tradition almost all Finnish families do — grow pots of rye grass to decorate home for Easter. It symbols spring and new beginning.
ETA: I didn't know that Norwegian contemporary Easter tradition is to read or watch murder mysteries! :-D

For some reason murder mysteries are an Easter thing here, they show them on all TV channels.:)
ETA: having lamb is also an Easter tradition. When I am back home during the Easter holiday, we collect as many family members as possible for a big, chaotic, lovely Easter dinner with lamb, vegetables and potatoes au gratin. Sometimes we are around 20 people. Fun and kind of a puzzle to get all the food stuff ready and hot simultaneously. We do have a lot of practise though.

I'm one of very few at work these next days, most people are on Easter vacation, which is a big thing here.

(Again, I have to say, since we had winter returning for a bit with a heavy snowfall and grey, cold weather)
