Haha I loved your idea about the gems! It's really good.But I have an idea that wanted to ask you if it's okay
Well, because there might be a reason why these "gem people" are a minority. It might be there's a disease that affects their inside gem and contaminates and poisons their bodies. A few of them reachs adulthood and the mayority of the children die when they are five years old. And they're close to finding the cure, but the problem is that they don't have the elements to do it.
Sure. :) I was thinking more because there are a limited number of gems in the world and no one can have the same gem at the same time, so the gems are passed down from mother/father to child, but that works too! :D
That one also is a great idea. Do you think we could use both?
I dunno, if the gems are genetic, then the disease would kill them off quickly enough that they would be dead within generations.
How many characters and who's going to be who?
Umm we could start with one boy and one girl, and then later introduce new characters
