LOL I'm on page 272 in Evernight now. I've gotten two major surprises. Its pretty rare for a book to surprise me! :) I have a feeling I am going to finish this book by the end of the day...LOL I don't think I am going to be able to put it down!

message 52: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Finished Raven and the Cowboy and I've got to say, I liked the dirty, scruffy cowboy. I'm going to have to find some more like this. It had a lot of mystical bits too. It was really good.

Starting Grave Peril by Jim Butcher. I like Harry more each book. This one is mostly about ghosts. I love ghosts in stories!

message 53: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (vicki507) I just finished The Luxe and Rumors. I really liked them both a lot. Before I continue with Envy, I am going to give myself a break and read The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

message 54: by BK (new)

BK Blue (paradoxically) The Shadow of the Wind. So far it is pretty interesting.

message 55: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) Okay... I'm currently reading Ultimate Weapon by Shannon McKenna. It's the 6th book in the McCloud Brothers & Friends series, and I admit to being a little "afraid" of it because I never saw Tamara, a secondary character in the previous books and the heroine in this one, as worthy of having her "own" book. Hopefully, Ms. McKenna has done a good job and will prove me wrong. ;)

Adrienne | 286 comments I'm reading Addicted by Charlotte Featherstone which has to be one of the best books i've read this year. I've been looking for a Romantica/erotic romance like this for a long time. It has intense emotional turmoil, mystery, tragedy, and obssession plus some very emotional steamy scenes.

message 57: by Lynda (new)

Lynda I am reading The Female of the Species, the Great Women Detectives and Criminals, edited by Ellery Queen. So far it is great. I love mystery short stories. They pare it down to the essentials.

Stephanie Chasidy wrote: "Stephanie, I've been trying to remember to pick up Rev's story when I go to the bookstore but I always forget. How do you like it so far? I hear it reads more like an Urban Fantasy than a Paranorma..."

It took me a while to get into the story. But I would have to say this book is right up there with Bella and Z's book. I love Rev, even though he is not a brother. I think the book is a good balance between PNR and UF. I dont like Lash or anything that has to do with the Lessers, but I think them necessary to the story.

Chasidy Bride of a Wicked Scotsman by: Samantha James

Stephanie, I absolutely hate lash and what he did to JM in the bathroom.

I just wish this story was a little less of Lash and the Lessers and more Rehv and Ehlena, Wrath and Beth. But it wouldnt be a very good story I guess.

SoBeA (sobe1982) | 39 comments I just finished Anya Bast's Witch Blood (It was okay)as I couldn't remember where I put the Nalini Singh I meant to read... but I know it's here somewhere!

I did just get back from B&N's a few minutes ago, and got Nora Roberts' new one (yay for 40% off coupons!) and I can't wait to start it, though I'm hoping my excitement won't jinx me and end up hating it!

Adrienne | 286 comments Rane I've been waiting for this book for years. I adore it too! the physical relationship between Lyndsay and Anais was just so romantic and sensuous, OMG i love the way CF wrote everyone of those scenes. The whole book seemed to throb with passion. And the emotional side of the relationship was heart breaking. It would have been easy for her to bow to convention with regard to the ending but i'm glad she didn't because I think that would have trivialized the whole story.

I think I cried through all of the more intense parts, especially when Lyndsay goes to Trans because you know then that he he is truely lost.

I thought the way his addiction to both opium and to Anais was really well writen. OMG I could talk about this book forever:)

Have you read anything else by her? I added a few books to my TBR shelf but the one I really want *Forever Yours* is an e-book, we don't have kindle in the UK. and I don't have an e reader. Don't think I could cope with not being able to carry my reading around with me. So it'll be some time before I get to read it.

message 69: by Lynda (new)

Lynda I am reading At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost.

I'm going to order a copy of book:Mistress of the Night|707787] via Amazon. Where did you findout about *Sinful*? I checked on here and her website but couldn't see anything:( .

My tortured hero was Kylemore from Claiming the Courtesan but It really does have to be Lyndsay after reading this.

message 71: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 244 comments ok so now I have added Addicted to my TBR list hehehe
I have started the third book of the Anita Blake series Circus of the Damned (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #3)

Adrienne | 286 comments Thanks for that Rane. I don't think I went far enough into her webpage (which incidently is beautiful don't you think). Will pop over to her blog in a minute for a good browse.
I've ordered a used copy of Mistress of the Night as the new ones over here are really expensive.....just hope the quality is ok, can't wait to get reading it. The problem I've got now is what to read next...

message 73: by LaTrica (new)

LaTrica Just started A Debt to Delia. I hope it's as light and simple as I think it is. Since reading From Dawn to Decadence 500 Years of Western Cultural Life 1500 to the Present this spring I've been attempting really quick lighthearted books and not succeeding.

message 74: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy I just had to re-read Jeaniene Frost's Halfway to the Grave because I found myself simply gushing about Bones a little too much. He sure is yummy!

LOL Sometimes it's easy to get lost in Goodreads, and forget to actually read. That happens to me sometimes! :)

Unapologetic_Bookaholic I did finish Delia's Heart, yay! I will have to find a new Hard back to read. I usually read 3 paperbacks (b/c I have the holders) and 1 or 2 HB's.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Joy: it is an addiction I am glad to have =D.
