I am currently reading (2009)...
Just picked up The Laughing Corpse (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #2) by Laurell K. Hamilton which I will be starting tonight. Can't wait!
I am reading Firmin: Adventures of a Metropolitan Lowlife by Sam Savage. It is definatly an interesting take on things. I am not too far into the book so I have not ad time to make a really good opinion yet.

I finally finished Covet and I am now starting The Van Alen Legacy. It has been taking me forever to finish a book lately now that I am back to work full time and it doesn't help that I work overnight.
Joy, I can't start a series in the middle, so I am going to do the other group read. My aunt gave me two Patterson books. Fluffy, but fun. It is true that vampires are uber popular right now and a small break is needed to get all my stories straight. Which one has venom? Who do you have to bite three times? Moroi? Dhampir?
I just finished Tempted by P.C. and Kristin Cast, and I must say I did enjoy it. Although I was rather let down by such an obvious error being made in the book! The switched persons in one chapter constantly, one second the author referred to Zoe as "she" and the next as themself! Very confusing and an amateur mistake. I expected more of them

I know what you mean about having trouble keeping all the different types of vamps from different series straight. It can be exhausting, but it's always nice when an author provides you with a different type of vampire than you'd expect. It spices things up a bit. :)
I'm on chapter 21 of Tempt Me at Twilight, and I'm enjoying it. I've already read the previous books in the series though, so it isn't an issue for me...I have to wait to read Halfway to the Grave, because I don't own it. I'll probably pick it up at a used bookstore soon. :)

Been waiting the better part of a year for this one : Queen of Song and Souls which I started as soon as I got the package ripped open (yesterday). Up next, I just got Nora's new book, Bed of Roses in the mail today, then after that, if Fed Ex would hurry up, I've got Stephanie Lauren's Untamed Bride to read. So many books I've been on tenterhooks waiting for, all decided to come out at once! No complaints though, I can't seem to stop grinning :)
Just finished listening to Red Dragon - Thomas Harris and now I am listening to The Silence of the Lambs - Thomas Harris.
Just finished listening to The Silence of the Lambs - Thomas Harris. In the morning I will listen to Hannibal - Thomas Harris.
Just finished Pearl Harbor A Novel of December 8th. Very intense (no surprise there), so won't be reading book two, Days of Infamy, for a while. And I don't think I'm up for Shutter Island right now either, so I'm going for A Game Of Chance.
I can't decide what to read next. I'm debating between two different historical romance novels, and a YA book. Not in the mood for anything more serious...
I just finished The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and truly enjoyed the book. It will not be the last Gaiman book that I'll be reading. ♥
I'm currently reading Graceling by Kristin Cashore.

The Girl Who Played with Fire came in from the library yesterday, so i've started that instead.
Started Stargazer this morning. I'm at the library now and they have Dreamfever waiting for me! I'm excited!
I am currently reading The Time Traveler's Wife and have nearly finished it. I have found it quite a easy read but parts of it are too vulgar for my liking.
Lit A Memoir - Mary KarrWon it from FirstReads. Not sure how I'll like it. I deal with too many alcoholics stuck in between Steps 4 and 5. Actually, I deal with a lot of alcoholics who have trouble making it to Step 1, much less climb any of the others.
Last month in the bath I started The Comfort of Strangers - Ian McEwan so I will carry on reading that today as its only 100 pages. Then I will read Poor Little Bitch Girl - Jackie Collins.

Let me know what you think of it! I keep meaning to stop at Barnes and Noble to buy it, but haven't gotten around to it yet...

Jo enjoy. This was the first vampire story I ever, ever read and remember loving it, so atmospheric and beautifully written. I think I may still have a copy of it somewhere:). I read the some of the subsequent books too but kind of fell out of love with them as a series. Anways. I'm reading A Taste of Honey or the cover which is verrrrry attractive
well hell it is when you can actually see it:)
I just read the first two books in The Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Caine and now I am reading Squite which is the 3rd book in the Protector of the Small series by Tamora Pierce.
The Wire In The Blood - Val McDermid (still reading Lit: A Memoir, but Wire in the Blood is way more interesting.)
Things are really happening in The Girl Who Played with Fire, and I stayed up much too late last night caught up in the search.

I finished the second book pretty quick, I'm liking the increase in gore. I am now starting on the
Circus of the Damned (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #3) by Laurell K. Hamilton

I haven't been disappointed in Patterson's books. Great mysteries and I always seem to like the characters. I've read few but I would recommend them.

The Last Temptation - Val McDermid(if you liked Thomas Harris' Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs, etc., you should enjoy the Tony Hill/Carol Jordan mysteries.)
Finished - and loved! - The Girl Who Played with Fire. Also read Shutter Island and liked it more than I expected to. But after those two books, I'm 'de-toxing' with Janet Chapman's Highlander time-travel series.
Just finished The Golden Notebook, still pondering what to think about it though and whether or not I liked it.I think I'll start Lolita next.

Great to know, Joy. I've already got Lover Eternal selected to read for part of my November challenge in Romance Readers Challenge Group.
I like this one so far. I'm only about a quater of the way thru it, so still at the beginning.
